I think they've wasted the oportunity at the Nou Camp, in England that's gonna be another story. Good game though. btw I believe Puyol will be back.
Honestly, I think they will do fine in England. They can keep pace with ManU. They have more possesion and I think they will learn to take those chances more after watching game film. One note is that Barcelona has the most corner kicks won in this tournament.
Well latina is a latin female I believe and comida, I was told was food. So either you eat female latins or they are food to you.
Alen bro, you are awesome. Latina comes from Latin, Comida is food, now since food (comida) in Spanish is femminine, the Latin become Latina = Latin food
latina is just latin, but in femenineform. We have a masculine and a feminine for every word, in our language the word food (comida) is a feminine word, so if you are giving it an adjective (like being latino) then you have to make it a feminine adjective. So he used that right... Spanish 101 as offered to you by a Quelonio.
No problemo... I didnt realize you had posted a correction for him. It is funny to think of latina only as girls... Ah Latina girls... do I miss them.
He may hit the wall tho, Giovanni is incredible and he will be a force for long time! I wish he was with the ACMilan.
They can more than keep pace. They simply need to finish. I kinda fell asleep during the half, but I though for sure with the way Barc was pressuring and penetrating that it was only a matter of time before they wore down ManU's trap defense. They spent most of the first half in ManU's third of the field it seemed (don't know the actual min). That's why I'm surprised it came out in a draw- I hope someone who saw the second half can tell me how it went, b/c if it was more of the same, Barc should be ashamed for not even scoring a goal.
The second half was basically the same. The possession was about the same, I believe it was 67% - 33% for Barca. The only difference was that Barca attacked more on the goal, they actually got some shots off instead of passing and than coming out with no attack on goal. At about the 60th minute I believe it was, they took out Messi and replaced him with the amazing talent of Bojan Krkic (Serbian born). Krkic did a very good job of pressuring the ManU defense but in the end, they could not come up with a goal and it ended at even ends.
Bah- if Barca gets beat in England, they deserve it then. To own a team that completely and not come away with a win, IMO they should be ashamed. Oh yeah, I remember you saying that you're from Bosnia. I have read that the bad blood b/w the two peoples runs pretty deep...but I have never known anyone from there so I can't comment one way or the other...maybe you could enlighten me sometime I honestly don't think I live to far from you if you're in C. Florida. Anyway, thanx for the recap!
Yeah they would be a dissapointment if they dont come out on top in England. They were actually one of the teams that were expected to challenge ManU. As for the Bosnia - Serbia bad blood thing. Its a really long story that started in 1992 with a war (I'll provide you with a link regarding it in a little bit). To make the story short, Bosnians and Serbians dont get along very well because "Serbians" and I put it in quotes because most of them aren't Serbs. They are originally Bosnian but refuse to admit it for various reasons.
Completely argee with ya there. It almost seemed that ManU was playing for a 0-0 draw, and try to win it at Old Trafford. But to me that almost puts more pressure on them espically if Barca gets one in the back of the net, then ManU has to put 2 in the back of the net. To be honest though Barca recent results in La Liga may be one of the reason they are opting for play more for a draw.
Like you said, I wouldn't be surprised if ManU was trying to play for a draw because they are almost unbeatable at OT. One note of ManU is that they are 19-0 when Park, the Chinese or whatever he is born, is starting.
If Barca and ManU have at least 1-1 draw at OT, Barca advances due to Away Goal rules. I hope they can pull that out at least.
Yeah but I believe ManU has been avg around 2 goals at home in the last 2 months or so. So if they can only manage one they may still be in trouble. If Barca can get 2 goals, they have a really good chance of going to Russia.
You are correct they have averaged about 2 goals a game. But they wont be able to reach that with Messi and Barca's dominating possesion. Barca had almost seventy percent AVERAGE of possesion in todays game. That is absolute dominance. The only thing they had a problem with is putting the ball in the back of the net. IF, big if, if Barca can put up the same thing in the next matchup, they will be heading to Russia imo.
Oh I'm on the same page as you . If Barca do what they did today next week they for sure will have a spot in Russia. PS- I'm a Liverpool supporter
Glad we are on the same page......about this game that is . Liverpool? Bleh . I guess we could get along since we both hate ManUre.
