Enlighten me as to why he is the savior? Tonight's excuses: No running game? No Beast? (Gotta wonder where the fault should be laid) Lack of original play calling? Well Henne has dealt with that all year. Reality: He isn't that good He wasn't that good in KC If he was as good as you thought he would have been the starter It was a great drive and many of you blew your nut all over it. With posts like "Look at the throws, look at the emotion, look at the drive that won the game" (oh **** that's right the Phins were ALREADY WINNING). I suggest you get a kleenex and clean up your mess,
I think what you have to remember when lookin at thigpen's performance tonight is all the injuries on this team. Especially on the O-line. however, that being said, even on plays where thiggy did have some time, his throws were incredibly inaccurate. Hell, he just about got bess killed with a high pass, then a few plays later, sailed one 5 feet over his head. The other thing to keep in mind I suppose, lack of preparation time. That to me, isnt an excuse for missing as many throws as he did however.
Here is what I remember: 2 starting drives near or over the 50 and NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING. Where was that "spark", that "statement" to put it in the end zone (cause god knows Henne never does right)? Then the D keeps them in it by allowing a whopping 6 point and they do......NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING.
There is no spark with this offense. It wont matter who starts. Its anemic by nature. It's time for a change. Some will claim the offense failed tonight because we didnt let Thiggy scramble, and roll out to make plays, that may be true. If so, its the same complaint of the folks saying this is an offense suited for Pennington, and that leads to the problems with it not fitting Henne either. The next question then is, if your coaches jobs are to understand the players, and their abilities, and then tailor their system to the strength of their players, why has that not happened with Miami's offense. Two things come to mind... first... Dan henning. Secondly, Sparano, for not urging Henning to adapt, and change things. you wonder why a guy like Marshal is about to explode? He knows its not working. He knows its the offense. Hell, go back to Ricky's radio spot after the baltimore game, he bluntly stated it, guys have given up on the message from sparano and henning, that hard work, and ball protection get it done. something has to change. or nothing will change with this offense. its that simple
And while I'm on my ****ing soapbox: All you Thigpen lovers do realize he was a starter in KC. So you don't get a 3rd stringer pass from me. Take that **** to another thread.
Where is the official "I hate Brandon Marshall" thread? He deserves 10x the blame that thigpen is getting.
He hasn't taken a rep until all season until this week. He needed players to step up. Especially a player who got a huge contract and Miami traded 2 first round picks for. Not only did that player not step up, that player played one of the worst games of football I have ever seen.
