Yes they are but I don't make decisions. If I say "is", I would be wrong since I'm not in charge, wouldn't I?

Also, this talk about the bridge to Thigpen is bull****. This will be Chad Henne's team when he's completely ready. He's shown enough for me to truly believe that.

I think the position of the front office is, if penny can keep that bridge from happening than they look good, if we fall out of contention, then they get to see what I think they want to see, which is thigpen starting a game to see what he brings to the table, to make the offseason a little clearer for the position.

If Thigpen plays well, then you open the offseason for competition at the position, and we find out about Henne one way or the other..

Do me a favor. Write down any plays you see that weren't utilized before. Just to make sure any new success is looked at objectively.

Manning and Favre certainly struggled. But they also made plays to go along with their mistakes. With Henne, you're getting mostly mistakes, with a few plays made. And its been trending in the wrong direction lately.

Sorry but I'm not watching any more games. If my thoughts change in a couple weeks then maybe I"ll watch. I haven't watched a game in three weeks, however.

If it has to do with how bad we look, I can understand.

All of this though Alen, is why I feel that Henning has to go. Last year our D suffered bigtime, we replaced PP, with Mike Nolan, a younger guy, with a more aggressive attitude to go with our younger, and aggressive defense. the results are much improved IMO. Players believe in the system, and are much more productive playing in it.

Offense now, we have Henning, stuck in his ways. While he was great for the turnaround of this team, and was EXACTLY what we needed in 08, and into 09 as we got this rebuild started with a young team. We needed to limit mistakes at all costs. However now, we have more playmakers on this team, guys who have developed into good players. Yet, we're still restraining them from making plays. Limiting mistakes should always be a primary focus of any team, no doubt. However, at some point, to win, and make it far in this league, you have to take chances, you have to open it up, you have to be more aggressive. If Henning isnt going to do that for this offense, then we have to look elsewhere. The way this league has changed over the years to what it is now, this strategy is only going to get you so far. This is about the end of the line for it.

If you have a young QB, you believe has the ability to play in this league, which they must, or they wouldn't have drafted him, then why continue to force this type of offense on them, if its clearly not working. It all goes back to Ricky's comments for me... Coach preaches toughness, discipline and strength. You can only buy into that for so long. At some point you begin to realize hey... we have the talent out here. We can make the plays, but... its not happening. You stop believing. The offensive philosophy is what really needs to be changed here IMO

Its been a process that has been going backward. You should know that I understand what it takes to develop a player. But at the same time, the player has to show something during that period.

Chad Pennington is currently the 4th biggest trending topic on twitter worldwide.

Well hey, the Dolphins made headlines for something other than spitgate this week.

We never should of seen the dissapearance in the first place.

I know it sounds impossible, but Penny use to use that formation to his advantage out of the proset.

This is sort of indicative of the Dolphins. Whenever something happens, all facets of the team fall into disarray. Offense, Defense, Special Teams, Fans, Coaching, Message Boards. Thank God for Cheerleaders.

Damn, did Henne really have tears in his eyes? That hurts me to hear. You can't say Henne isn't passionate. He'll get another shot here though.

and thats the thing. if henne started to regress and his confidence was starting to get effected and maybe he just started to get overwhelmed then this was the right move to further his development. Sometimes you have to take a step back and allow for some reflection. Its important that Henne sees this as an opportunity and busts his *** studying the game from the sidelines to gain some perspective

I sure as heck hope so, hope he bounces back like Vince Young. You have to hope he won't take this lying down, and wants to prove that we were wrong... hopefully in a Dolphins jersey...

But your not telling me how Penny is going to do that. Beyond 15-20 yards Penny is going to under throw more often than not. So strength does have something to do with it if the QB struggles to get the ball there. I think people are overlooking Penny's lack of arm strength for the "smart" factor. As far as YAC, Penny is not going to have anything to do with coverage and in this case I think it may get worse for Marshall as the field will most certainly be much shorter now.

I told you that earlier and you sure didn't seem to have any issues arguing with me.

I would if I were him. The news would mean that there's an overwhelming likelihood he'll never be a starting QB again.

Wow mods. No points here? Look, Alen came here gave his honest view on it but you got your panties in a bunch because it disagreed with your holier than thou opinion. He's contributed more to this forum than you have, you need to get something to do unrelated to being a (I don't want more points)

i watch about five or six games a week. Thats ten off coordinators every week and Henning is not the problem. Its the execution. I dont think it was all on Henne. Missed blocks in the run gm, drops, etc.. I have my gripes with Henning but they are miniscule when compared to other coordinators.

No, no, its fine. I haven't watched the last three weeks, so my opinion may not be taken as much and that's fine, but I've seen enough to form an opinion. A fair one, in my view. "Sticking up" for Chad Henne doesn't even mean much to me because in reality, I'm not just stating my point of view for Henne, but young quarterbacks in general.

What I fail to understand is why there is so many individuals who are filled with hope and joy that Chad Pennington is getting the starting nod. This franchise was not going to do anything outstanding this season, in my opinion, as I viewed it a developmental year. Next year was most likely going to be thee year but that is now in question due to Pennington starting. I don't see much gained out of this.

    Who said anything about writing?

No one said my opinion was best, to my knowledge, and I would hope that they would not say that because there are thousands of individuals out there who know a significant amount of football and certainly more than me.

I also don't get why you are attacking another member on this board.

You seem upset for some reason. I hope all is well.

I don't think that Manning being better than Brady is obvious because a fine argument can be made for both sides. However, to each their own.

Pennington will give us the best chance to win. should have benched Henne after game four if the were really concerned about competing in 2010.
