Now, for the dolts who will try and say I'm comparing Henne to Marino, Manning or Montana, I'm not. I'm comparing some ALL-TIME GREAT's first couple of seasons with Henne's.

I still think Sanchez will be a fairly good quarterback in the NFL. A very good game manager, IMO.

Of the two, I think Henne has more potential to be an elite quarterback. I don't think either will, but I believe Henne has more potential than Sanchez to do so.

To me, Sanchez is still getting overrated by the media. As someone who lives in Jersey and has a young son who's a Jet fan (yeah, I can't figure it out either), I've seen enough Jet games where I'm still not convinced he can be much above average, if that.

Let me say this, though- make no mistake Sanchez does have some nice abilities (which should be apparent when you're the #5 pick in a draft). His play action is quite good, helped out by the fact the Jets can run the ball very well. He has excellent, quick feet which allow him to move around and make plays. He can also throw a very nice deep ball and occasionally gets into a groove where he shows some nice accuracy (unfortunately it's usually when he's playing Miami).

On the negative side, those grooves where he shows good accuracy can often be few and far between. Anyone who complains about Henne's accuracy issues should watch Sanchez for awhile and get back to me. There are times when you'd think Mark couldn't hit the side of a barn. His decision making can still also be very questionable at times, and he has probably had an inordinate amount of good fortune this season on some balls that could have been picked.

He is also not asked to do as much as Henne is. He is still more of a game manager than anything. He benefits from a better running game, and more importantly, a defense that can usually smother opponents enough to the point where they don't have to depend on him putting up a bunch of points. He also benefits greatly from having Brian Schottenheimer as his offensive coordinator. Schottenheimer has a very good feel for calling plays at the appropriate time, especially when it comes to taking shots down field.

In all, both Sanchez and Henne both have areas that still need improvement which will cause people to wonder if they can ever be the QB that both franchises fans hope they will be.

You had me until that statement. Schottenheimer is AWFUL at calling plays at the appropriate time. His best series in usually the first 2 scripted drives. After that, it seems like he puts all his plays into a bag and randomly pulls them out.

Please - take this guy from us. You can have him.

About Henne's INT count not entirely being his fault... do you guys think Sparano agrees? I don't mean to ask this in a negative way... The pick that Hartline fell down on, I could swear that Sparano says "bad ball" when they show him on the sidelines. Haven't read his post game quotes though.

I honestly couldnt tell you if that's a bad idea or not. I don't see the issue with getting Cobbs and Hilliard more snaps.

lmao are you serious!?? Lex Hillard does 2 things......runs straight and makes contact.......gets tackled

no jukes, no yards after contact, hes like a glorified fullback.

Ronnie and Ricky arent getting yards and tds in this offense....but these guys will?! come on dude.

This just solidifes, the classic argument that the most popular players on the teams are the backups

I don't see a difference between Hilliard and Ricky at this point, and Cobbs isnt a bad receiving back.

the latter. hillard doesnt make it that far downfield without being caught, if he even has the vision to make the original cutback in the first place

Don't know. But I know that Hilliard does plow through the line and pick up some yards after contact that Ricky doesn't earlier in that game.

I don't know. I think that's more of a "the grass is greener on the other side" sort of thing. Sure, he does some things that make you shake your head at times, but he's highly regarded around the league for a reason.
