I don't even know what to say about this.

I'm floored about this. Why? Look at this video and tell me this was an interception.

    http://www.nfl.com/videos/miami-dolphins/09000d5d81b9374c/Steelers-defense-4th-down-failed

Look at the replay and tell me that ball didn't hit the ground.

The booth missed it, but does it really make a difference? It was 4th down anyway, the only thing it would have change is what? 5-7 yards? Regardless of that call, the next play would have been a knee down by Pittsburgh.

People are *****ing for no real reason other than to *****.

This puts Henne qb rating way down, and if it wasn't a big deal why did they change it?

That's some yellow journalism bull sh-t if I ever heard it. Players stats are pretty important. It changes how they're viewed, Pro Bowls, hell even goes into Hall of Fame voting.

Oh but yeah we're just *****ing for the sake of *****ing.

Keep shilling for your refereee homeys that don't know how to do their jobs.

It doesn't matter if it changes the game at all. The POINT is, it is a TERRIBLE call. For the NFL to rule it an interception, a day or two AFTER the game, when they have been able to review it numerous times, is totally ridiculous. The ball hit the ground. It is NOT an interception. There is really no way to defend the NFL changing it to an interception.

I seriously think that the nfl is rewarding James Harrison for having a clean game.

it'll be viewed as another 'ruling on the field' type deal .... it wasn't reviewed so it wasn't changed to an incomplete pass as the evidence clearly suggests ... of course, THIS call has no effect on the game or outcome -- but most certainly effects Henne's QB rating ...

Henne takes a beating on this site .... but, if Fasano had held onto the 3d down pass or fat man Carey had continued to block knowing the pass was to his side -- maybe our young QB could have had a chance to lead the team to a winning FG ....

As I said in the "Stat Monkey" thread, it was ruled an interception during the game and guess they are just correcting the stats to what was actually called during the game. Definitely not an interception and sucks for Henne.

Exactly. If this had been a WR catching a game winning pass for us it would have never been called a INT. But, it's a Steelers LB so it magically becomes a catch. How THAT is a catch and Calvin Johnson's TD wasn't is an excellent point of just how inconsistent this league's referee's have become. Pathetic.

On another note, after looking at that play again, I can't help but notice that it appears as though Henne is throwing to Brown, who is standing IN FRONT OF the first down marker with a defender to his back. WTF? Why would ANY receiver stop in front of the first down marker on 4th down and WHY would any QB throw to him? I don't get it.

Might be time to take a step back in defending the refs in the Pitt game Steve.

Most posters here use common sense and not many are saying they flat out cost Miami a victory. More like they cost Miami a chance to place the pressure back on the Steelers. HAVING to hold Miami's offense one more time and drive the length of the field once more to score for the win.

And to pad the stats of a player, after that lousy call, and on an obvious dropped ball at that? Come on......why don't they just line us all up and kick each one of us in the Nads? It might not hurt as much.
