Ummm if the player hit a big home run in a playoff game, absolutely. Aaron Boone or Bucky Dent could save the mayor's wife or daughter and still be booed.

Again though I really don't see a problem for the hometown team to ever boo a visiting player, especially one that has had past success against that team.

I went to college in the Bronx and I used to go to a ton on Yankees games in the late 80's. Donnie Baseball was the man.
