What's the longest Parcells has stayed anywhere? Maybe 5 years if that? He may move on after this year, if not then you'd really have to see him moving on after next season. Would there really be a point to him being here after next season given the way things are now structured?

He is the supposed architech of this team, I think its more than a "Meh", its important. He moves to the Giants, he may want to take Ireland with him. In walks Carl Peterson, our worst nightmare.

If Ireland leaves with him, yes I would see a problem. Especially since Peterson would be there to fill the void. With Parcells gone, I think Ireland and Sparano have their guardian gone. They will be defenseless if Carl Peterson makes a push for a job with the FO.

Probably considers his job here finished. Ireland and Sparano are in control, Ross is hands-off, and the roster has been pretty well restocked. We still need one more draft and free agency to be considered mostly complete, and we still need to do something about TE, RB, and QB depth after this year, but it’s not wrong for Parcells to consider his job finished. Ireland and Sparano still have plenty of work ahead.

I’d say Detroit would bring Parcells in, but they’ve already sunk a bunch of money into a quarterback and a 4-3 DT, which would tie Parcells’ hands. The 2010 Browns seem set up suspiciously like the 2007 Dolphins, with questionable acquisitions at QB, no playmakers, and maybe only a couple of guys worth keeping after a total rebuild. There’s also the Panthers, where John Fox and Marty Hurney seem to be halfway out the door. Jacksonville, too.

Wherever Parcells goes, I don’t think anything will happen until 2012. And we’ll need to be careful that he doesn’t poach our coaches. Though he can take Dan Henning, Karl Dorrell, and John Bonamego if he really wants.

Maybe, but I think he’d be wary about that transition after observing Glenn Dorsey in Kansas City.

he completed his job. i'm thrilled he laid the foundation and now its up to the people he put in place to bring us across the finish line. giants, jets, patriots, dolphins, cowboys are all success stories. he is the ultimate person to bring in to get your team back to respectability. it will be interesting to see where he goes. he's 70 years old i think so this is his last hurrah. i wish him the best

Definitely. But is he living up to that contract he signed? I’m not sure about that.

Also, I don’t think a 3-4 LDE is an important enough position to justify that #2 overall contract. If Suh could play 3-4 ROLB, sure…

No, it doesn't, but he didn't draft him. He'd just be stuck with him. I still think Parcells would take a DE high in the draft if it were him doing the choosing. He certainly wanted Kevin Williams when Dallas was at what 11. Obvious difference, but Parcells loves his front players.

Hey, Pioli took Tyson Jackson at 3........

I just don’t see Parcells willingly taking on someone else’s partially complete reclamation project. Stafford and Suh are huge financial obstacles to get past. Parcells would need to keep the 4-3, IMO. He’s not entirely opposed to that, since he kept the 4-3 in Dallas for a while.

Parcells would definitely want his own quarterback. And I wouldn’t entirely blame him. Stafford isn’t exactly Aaron Rodgers.

Giants are drooling for Cowher, I don't think they touch Parcells, they are all about stability, Parcells does not give you that now.

IMHO, No way does Parcells go to the Bills. I gotta believe part of the reason he is not happy here is because of the ownership change. Why on earth would he go to a team whose owner is at death's doorstep and nothing but uncertainty surrounding the team after his eventual death?

Well, that be the biggest fear naturally. Bringing in Carl Peterson to run your football organization is like willingly bringing back Isaiah Thomas to run your basketball organization (or doughnut shop for that matter)

Seriously? Why do you have to believe that? Based on what facts?

    Here are some facts:
Parcells does not stick around long after his reclamation projects begin.

FACT: Ross has not shown that he has a desire to control personnel decisions, nor has he meddled in the teams affairs since he go there. In fact He has worked hard to improve the stadium experience and energy around the team.

I'm really getting tired of this conjecture about the ownership change and linking it to Parcells. For someone that loves to leak information about conflict, Parcells sure must have done a 180 at 70 on his personality..

    DENVER!!!

An owner nearing the end with about 3 years before selling. A young coach better suited in college. A defense filled with retiring stars. A questionable Qb rotation Questionable RB stable but a young promising WR. Already set up for a 3-4. Sounds like a parcells blue print to me.

I think Parcells came in knowing the change and waynes plans and that is what made his decision. Knowing he could walk anytime, he does not care who owns the team. If they piss him off he walks.

With that said I dont think it was in his plans to stay more than 3 years. At this point from here out they will do nothing but butt heads. We have a GM and a head coach. Let them grow together and yes Bill should move on. They had 3 great years of education plus all those pre emptive years with Bill.

Thank You Bill Parcells for pulling our franchise out of a nose dive and giving us hope. Please do not do the same for the Bills as we need atleast one step child to beat up on twice a year.

    Sorry I edited,

Its bellicheats system. Eveyone keeps plucking asssitants from him and he plugs another one in and does not skip a beat. Then you look at those that have had oppurtunities like Weis and Romeo and have fallen on their faces, it is only a matter of time before Josh falls too. I doubt Bill gives any of his assistants enough freedom to actually learn from it and hence they are not able to duplicate his success.

Now Josh I have to give it to him. He came in guns blazin ready to change out and rebuild. I just do not think he can finish what he started. I still dont think he is ready but is a decent football mind.

What exactly has McDaniels accomplished beyond trading his franchise QB and WR for draft picks? Was it the pickup of Tebow that has you sold on him? Or the late season meltdown and collapse?

Cutler is not exactly the second coming of Joe Montana, and Brandon Marshall was clearly unhappy in Denver. Scoring two 2nds was and replacing Marshall with uber-talented Demaryius Thomas was not a bad move, though Thomas might have a problem with nagging injuries.

He had the balls to get rid of Jay Cutler rather than waste a year proving to the fanbase what he already knew, that Cutler wasn’t the answer.

This....and it isnt that much of a darkhorse to me.....it is the team he made his name at...he gets Cowher as coach (although he is big time friends with Coughlin), has a legit QB, and it is easy to turn that team around, in a division where he gets to shove it so far up Jerry Jones' *** 2X a year....dont forget that drunk rant Jones got caught at the restaurant doing too...he didnt forget about that...

The ONLY reason I say no, it because it isnt a "challenge" per se, and he would have to fire Coughlin, and hire Cowher which I cant see him doing, but if it is done already before he comes on-board....and ultimately there are alot of emotional ties there..

AS LONG AS HE TAKES HIS BOY DAN HENNING WITH HIM!!!!!

You kind of dodged the big question asked there that will loom over Mcdaniels for the rest of his career. He traded up into the first round to grab Tebow??? That overshadows Thomas and any draft move he has done to date. It was bonehead, emotional, and the biggest gamble he has made and the wrong one. That was a cam cameron move if I have ever seen one.

Like I said he has decent potential as a coach but not an NFL head Coach. Atleast not right now.
