South Fla is buzzing and no one is happy. Everyone connected to this team can't wait to earn their redemption vs the Patriots. The coaching staff chewed this team out for an hour and 15 minutes straight as they looked over the film and all the mistakes.

Belli-cheat had better bring his full bag of tricks, spygate, and a spare tire to Miami because we WILL bring our "A game" right to them. This is going to be one hell of a war guys, even better than last week.

    Expect many changes.....

Basically. They outplayed us, out coached us, made fewer mistakes, and totally dominated on ST. They deserved to win the game.

The Patriots are going to kill us, frankly. Their offense is going to score on our D at will. We will score some points against them---hell, we might score in the 30s against them---but if our D can't stop the Jets' offense, it sure as shootin' can't stop the Pats'.

I would take it one step farther- they are better than we are. IMO, we are talented but a year behind the Jets in developing as a team. We will compete for a wildcats spot, but if the Jets stay healthy, combined with our road schedule, they take the division.

You're so hilarious...you should audition for America's Got Talent.
I'll watch...I watch every game. But not being blind or naive, I understand that the odds of this team beating the Patriots aren't good.
Maybe you should try to avoid asserting that anyone who disagrees with you isn't a real fan.

We split with them each of the last 2 seasons...why the heck couldn't we beat them?

The defense had 1 bad game out of three. For as young as they are, that ain't terrible. It just sucks that it happened against the Jets.

no one will fear us until we prove it on the field, giving up 31 points to Sanchez will have brady licking his long girly locks.

Talk is cheap. The coaches can yell for hours but the bottom line is the Jets came into our house and put up 14 points on the board before our guys decided to show up and play. There is no excuse for giving up 31 points. Hopefully they will step it up Monday night.

Hmm...and who was their QB 2 seasons ago?
And Brady wasn't back to his old form last season either, that was obvious to everyone.
It's possible that our D will put enough pressure on him that he makes mistakes...he's doing that more now than he did when he was younger. But given the beating our D took from the Jets, I doubt it.

Difference in this game was Special Teams, period, Jets have good special teams, we have horrible special teams. A good return for us is out to the 20. Not much or anything on punt returns. We usually allow a return to around the 30 or 35 on kickoffs. On punts, I hold my breather on our coverage and our punt teams, coverage and returns are horrible. Got to say it, the Jets take pride in their special teams and it showed. Our special teams are, well, not too special at all. Outside of special teams ? This game was as evenly matched as you can get it. Well, us not covering the middle of the field was bad too but just the same, Jets special teams put them in the position to win this football game. Our special teams were kinda just there because you need a guys on the field on kickoffs, kick returns, punts and punt returns.

We only have to defend the pass against the Pats...we had to play the jests honest..no need for that Monday night.

The Pats defense is a bottom 5 unit and the Dolphins will make them look like it.

I get what he is saying though, and honestly I agree....If Miami makes Hot Dog look like an NFL QB, what do you think Brady is going to do?? The Pats I can see putting up 30+ again on them...and if I was the Pats I wouldnt run the ball ONCE....no bs, throw every down and they have a really good shot of beating them....do not even know why they would bother running....

Can Miami win sure, but I believe this will be a tougher game and a tougher opponet than the Jets, solely because of Brady...

Somehow the Pats managed to run for over 200 yards against the Jills, but I tend to agree with you.

Miami should look to play a ball control offense (which is what they like to do anyway). As much fun as it is to score quickly, orchestrating 6 - 8 minutes drives that result in TD's will keep the ball out of Brady's hands. And I think you guys can do that. Their defense is pretty bad. I'd try to run the ball down their throats and hit passes when you need to convert 3rd downs.

Also, you can't make the assumption that just because the Jets scored 31 against you that the Pats will score more. It doesn't work that way. The Jets gave up 23 to Miami and only 14 to the Pats. Does that mean anything? No. Any given Sunday....

Well, I'm expecting a high scoring game...based on the fact that neither team defends the pass very well.

And I was expecting a LOW scoring game on Sunday, based on how both teams had played defense up until that point. See my point?

Dude, your sig is hilarious. And nice post..completely agree. :hi5:

Our defense was worse last year and we still beat the Cheatriots. We will at least split again in my opinion.

Through the first two games we were among the best in the league vs the pass. The fact that Dirty Sanchez read our blitzes well and we did not disguise coverages for one game isn't going to make me believe that our defense isn't good enough. We have one of the best CB's in the league in Vontae Davis and I think Jason Allen is for real. Im buying the hype there I know I've seen enough to believe that he is legit this season.

The bigger issue for me is the interior OL which needs work. Getting Jerry back would be a start. But the Pats dont have a strong DL so it doesnt worry me as much this week.

wow some people are just miserable... i really pity some people with these mindstates that are so negative, their lives must be horrible...

so sanchez puts up good numbers against us and suddenly that means we wont be able to stop anyone ever again, wow...

but wait, Sanchez also put up good numbers against the Pats defense just the week prior so what does that mean for our offense? apparently nothing because that doesn't work with the negative mentality...

and the Jets defense held this brady led offense to 14 points, and zero points after Revis was out in the second half, that same defense we put up 23 points and over 400 yards right?... but who cares, dont even think about that, how can anyone even try to flip numbers in a non-negative way? things can only be flipped to show the negatives, never any positive... silly dolfans...

I think you would have gotten a better response if you had just said this to begin with, not... "we're going to get killed... we have NO chance"... I still disagree with you about the chances of us beating the Pats. I think they are very good.

I respectfully disagree champ. We won in the meadowlands the last two years and we just went in to Minnesota and won where the Viking hadn't lost in over a year. We can beat any team anywhere on the days we play to our ability. Consistency is the bigger issue.

there's a difference being realistic and pessimistic. Realistic is we are 2-1 and we have a share of the division lead. Realistic is the defense played well in 2/3 games and the offense only played well in 1/3. We are due for a complete game on both sides.

I do, really. At the same time...both teams could also stuff the run...Nobody expected Henne and Sanchez air it out. At which point, it was obvious that pass D on both teams was a bit overrated

To each their own, I guess. I was cautiosly optimistic on the pass D...we played Buffalo and Minny. You can say what you want about this beign the NFL and so on...but Favre is yet to have a good game, and Buffalo's QB we faced is on the street right now.
As for VD...he is my fav player on the team right now, so believe me, you are preaching to the choir  My problem was that why...why did JA stayed on Edwards after it was clear that he was getting beat more times than not. Im not saying JA is trash, again, I just dont think he is as GOOD as everybody thought he was after those two games. Best way to find out is just to see how things go sunday, against a very good passing team. Maybe another reason why I call our pass D a bit overrated is because it was Sanchez who did that to our team....maybe Im just being stubborn and not giving credit where credit is due, but I am not sold on Sanchez yet (maybe im lying to myself and just refuing to accept that he is playing very well) This weekend will be a good indicator of where we are as a pass D.

realistic is considering all factors and using them to formulate a realistic view...

you are taking ONE factor... that sanchez had a good game against us and are formulating an opinion based off ONLY that and completely ignoring the other important factors, because that helps your negative agenda...

did you take into consideration the fact we put up more points on the Jets defense than the Pats? No
did you take into consideration the fact we put up more yards on the Jets defense than the Pats? No
did you take into consideration the fact that Sanchez had an equally good game against the Patriots defense as he did against ours? No

so how is your view realistic when you blindly ignore the majority of the facts and just decide to focus on the one that supports your agenda?

For me this week is a test of the coaching staff. I want to see how well prepared the team is when game time comes around. Specifically the defense. Falling behind 14-0 early is unacceptable against any opponent. They looked like fools most of Sunday night and they have a better offense on the horizon. That young TE NE has might have the first big game of his very short career. As a matter of fact I may see if he's available in my fantasy league even though I generally hate to start players going against Miami. I'm desperate for a win though.

No I take into consideration Tom Brady, who should(I hope he doesnt) but should be able to find holes in this defense...it isn't that hard....Listen I am not being negative, I am being realistic.....Realistically the Bills suck....Realistically it is clear Minnesota isn't that good...The Dolphins are a good football no doubt, but before everybody on here starts hitting the "Nolan makes us a Top 5" like I have seen on here, one year removed from that defense that sucked...I just dont buy it yet regardless of who they signed, realistically I need to see more against better offensive teams....this week will tell me alot...

Guys Favre did squat against the Lions..how good is this guy at this point, I think fans tend to take that win in Minny as more than it meant....

Of course you play the game boik, and of course they have a 50% shot of winning, but I put more stake in Miami winning this game at home, than on the road here, so for me this is a must win for Miami at home against NE, as far the NE series goes, as opposed to them getting NE here...if they do both fine, even better...

and no I wont be watching DWTS...I havent missed a Dolphins game in over a decade...qand yes I agree with they havent put it together on all 3 sides of the ball, but if they do they beat anybody on any given day...correct..
