The only way to explain it is fear. Very often is there an opportunity for him to take off and run, and he'll either dance around or throw one up for grabs. I don't get it at all.
I don't think it is fear. IMO he's trying to do everything he can to prove he's a pocket passer, which is his downfall at times.
Next time he gets out in the open field I seriously want to see Ray Ray pop him as hard as possible....
This game with Ohio State only increases the hot plate Shannon should be on. Fundamentally this team is horrid. I've never seen such horrible tackling, so many mental mistakes, penalties, etc from a team that is supposed to be a top tier talent now. This has been the team's identity from the beginning of Randy's tenure and it has not improved.
So I'm sitting here, realizing this is a 12 point game...with a quarter to go basically. How is this possible? If we score twice quickly we have a lead somehow. Someone has to be Optimistic. GOO U!!!
LOL. Silly. That guy's a Raven now. Also, the Armstrong guy on the team now can't even catch up to anyone.
This would be why I won't go away feeling impressed by Ohio State at all after this game. They've been given every opportunity possible to literally run away with this game and somehow they have not been able to. Ohio State will not be a serious contender for the Natl. Championship this year IMO.
I want #61 kidnapped at the airport tomorrow morning, or whenever it is that they're returning home. Send his *** to spend a week caged in with Kat Stacks.
I don't think he is. He needs to work on decision making, yes, but I don't think he's "so bad". He has issues, like most CFB quarterbacks. Benjamin with another drop.
He throws too many int, We need a complete team and I also do not know about Rany Shannon and Wipple taken us to the championship
His arm is a serious issue Alen. Always has been. If he does have more arm strength he dosen't have the confidence to use it. Just this last series when he threw the one pass out of bounds I think his plodding lob took 5 seconds off the clock. Expect Jacory to be in a serious starting battle for next year. He's not what the U needs.
I don't know, I've seen him throw quality deep balls outside the numbers. I think his issue is footwork more than arm strength.
Only if Bridgewater is as ready as a true freshman as Jacory was, or more. Highsmith is surely not the answer and Whipple is a joke. Jacory is this team's only chance to win football games at the moment.
Not sure how you can rationalize that. Teams aren't going to get 2 return TDs a game. Really didn't need much from the offense. As much as I hate getting Field goals that is still points. Miami has a good defense but really haven't been in danger of losing this game. There isn't a lot of strong teams out there and pretty ridiculous not to think Ohio St can not contend for the national title. Sure the offense is a bit shaky but its not always going to be like this.
So, what do we think? Randy Shannon has had PLENTY of time to bring Miami into position to compete with teams like OSU, yet here we are, getting absolutely dominated by the Buckeyes.
I think he's been one of their biggest problems today. Among others of course but he has been far from what you'd call "one of our best chances to win a game".
