-- C.J. Spiller Slated to Start -- "The National Football Post reports Buffalo Bills first-round draft pick RB C.J. Spiller is slated to become an immediate starter. The speedy first-round draft pick from Clemson has made a big impression on the coaching staff. "I think he showed in college that he was a dynamic player," Bills HC Chan Gailey told reporters. "I think that he has shown in his few reps here that he is a very good player and has a chance to be a really good player for a long time in this league. The reason he’s starting is because he’s gotten more reps than anybody else in preseason at tailback and he’s done a good job. If he hadn’t done a good job, then we might have to rethink it. But he’s done a good job and he’s earned the spot. So we’re looking forward to him being out there."
Clifton Smith w/ just signed as a return specialist but could also add exceptional speed to the running stable if called on to do so.
He won't play RB, he isn't super fast either, just shifty. Also known to put the ball on the ground when playing RB. He will be our return man, that's about it I would expect. Spiller does scare me, the kid is good, and does not need much of a hole. They way we have tackled the last few years, he gets through a whole he could be gone.
His OL sucks. He'll be a problem on 3rd and short-medium, but as an every down runner, child please...
Seriously. Everything else should fall into place if we can deny any lanes. Still gotta set the edge though. The threat of a screen is a worry still.
C.J. Spiller is an incredible talent and i wish him a great career. But that o line will not be doing him many favors this season.
This. He will get to the edge some and catch screens. He is dangerous. We will send the heat. I think the quick dump to CJ is their best shot.

I have to frighten pretty easily if I am scared by a rookie running back who has no offensive line to run behind and a stacked box on account of his team having no passing game...Yeah I'm not scared. Maybe you should be scared for your team considering you think a Rookie is your best player
that's not indicative of a good performance. It just means he scored a touchdown. its the same as me guaranteeing ronnie gets in the endzone. And he will.
Whats the chances you will change the "I come in peace" and just go away if you lose? You have yet to bring anything to the table that makes sense to any of us. That even includes the really open minded people. All of us are ready for the game. Pumped. Can't wait. I have followed your arguments a bit. ******ed comes to mind most often.
The honest truth is that no matter how good your "best player" does we will win barring turnovers on offense. The dolphins control their own destiny in this game. Please feel free to bump this thread like no other after CJ has the game of his life in his first ever Nfl regular season game I'm sure we'll all be looking forward to it.
I am a Clemson fan Wagon and CJ scares me. He is a dynamic player and can take it to the house at anytime. However CJ is not going to make it as an every down back. This became very obvious during his last season at Clemson. He started to wear down towards the end of the year and lost a step or two. He showed he could still play when an injury or something bothering him but the pounding is gonna be much more severe in the NFL. Just saying I am afraid but don't expect him to be your #1 back or I think you are gonna be disappointed.
oh come on. lol 42? only ONE team managed to score more than 30 pts on us last season, and that was the SAINTS. Now we've done nothing but gotten better (if only a little) on defense and your saying 42?!
Yes. We don't hold a candle to the Bills. I wish I had the magic button to make you just go away. You bring nothing to the table but crap. You have yet to bring a reasonable discussion to this site.
Yes, he is, when he gets his ego in check. Watch the games last year and you will learn something. You think J Allen is??
We have more team speed on defense than you easy. My two concerns going into the game? 1. Spiller and his speed and our lack of good tackling last year. 2. Jason Allen covering anyone.
Our D hasn't proven anything yet. But if you TRULY believe the Billygoats can put up 42 points against the Fins then you need help...
Dude I am in favor of fans of other teams coming on here and posting stuff, be seriously what did they put into your Buffalo hot sauce ? Will the Bills even score 42 points for the whole year ? Remember the name Trent Edwards did he just wake up and become a real qb, or will it be a one man show as far as you are concerned ? Serious dude you marked yourself.
OMG...are you kidding me?! Barfalo puts a 40 burger on us??? NFW dude. If you want a realistic prediction, I'd say something more like 27-17...Dolphins. As for our lacking team speed, are you kidding me? If anything, we've gotten younger and faster. Seriously bro, have you even been scouting us?
You my friend, are showing serious signs of delusion. I am not saying the Bills can't win, but 42 points!? Are you high!?!?
Haha no I just think it would be suitable because you think the Bills will score a 40-burger...unless you were joking.
You wanna take the bills by a certain amount of points? Like they have to win by 10... Or just whoever wins?? pm me
CJ has a crazy day. Bills still lose. I want a high scoring game. 42-41 Dolphins. yes CJ is on my fantasy team. yes my opponent (my brother) has the dolphins D. For just this week. hey it's $3600 on the line.
