The following quotes are from NFL scouts, coaches and front-office personnel, speaking on condition of anonymity.

“The Bengals are getting tired of Chad Johnson’s tirades. They are shopping him. The problem is, there are only a few quarterbacks in this league who could shut him up. If you don’t have a Peyton Manning or Tom Brady on your roster, it’s not going to be easy.”

“It baffles me how a guy like (Pittsburgh OT Jeff) Otah is even being talked about in the top 15, just baffles me. If he is not a slow-footed, one-position offensive lineman, I don’t know who is. You look at how he moves and how flat-footed he plays. He’s got slow, heavy feet and bends at the waist. I got him in the third round. A lot of people are trying to make something out of him that he is not.”

Who pays $10 million (per season) for a corner? The Eagles lost their minds. Maybe for a quarterback. It’s amazing what is happening in the marketplace. Wait until the Eagles figure out what they paid for. (Asante) Samuel is a malcontent. He has issues.”
“The reason (Bill) Belichick’s system works is because he realizes there is no sense paying a bunch of money to a guy whose job he can find someone else to do for a lot cheaper while getting the same results.”

I agree with ALL of that.

While Samuel is a great corner, 10 million a year???? thats just insane..

Chad Johnson... is Randy Moss Jr. or... maybe the other way around?? Either way, it doesnt matter, all that matters is that he isnt going to be happy, or shut his mouth until he is put into a situation like Moss was last year. Guys like Moss and CJ are ONLY content when things look good for them, or.. while theyre on top of the world.. But once the party is over (and lets not kid ourselves, things havent been great in cincy the last two years) they start to act up, and mouth off, and want out. Its going to take a great team, and a great QB to shut up CJ, just as the article suggests.

Somehow I get this sick feeling to my stomach that the Pats work some deal to get him. Moss and CJ on the same team! This better not be another draft day bombshell!

It made me sick just reading that! I can't see it happening though, I can't possibly see the two of them co-existing together on the same team... With their ego's.. I just don't see it possible.. but i guess winning could change anything/anyone...
