Are you kidding? I think every Heat fan has made fun of LeBron. Its the most egotistical thing I've ever seen. My exact quote on this was...

The problem? If he comes to Miami... I just dont give a **** how gay he is.

ESPN is recapping all of the losing moments in Cleveland history, going back to Willie Mays' 1954 catch.

I'm doing it in your and HD's honor. You win.

From a basketball standpoint? It absolutely would be the wrong decision...

Chicago would be a good decision. New Jersey would be a good decision. Even NY would be a better decision.

Cleveland is the wrong decision when it comes to basketball...

Again... why not just hold the wedding in South Beach to begin with then?

Rhetorical question, though. LeBron is coming to Miami.

But Why, CLE just played in the East Conf Finals did it not? Lebron stays, puzzle pieces get mixed in...winning it all is not out of the question.

I dont buy that it couldnt happen.

I have 4 romeo julietta selects that cost $25 a pop. They are in my humidor only for special celebrations.

I had one designated for a quarterfinals win by team USA in the WC. Next opportunity was going to be a Dolphins Division championship.

If this happens..I am smoking that $25.

Brook Lopez is better than anything Cleveland has to offer. Plus they have Devin Harris who is pretty good... and also better than anything Cleveland has... which is scary.

Exactly, and James knows this, which is why imho he leaves Cleveland.

Cavs window has closed and it is obvious.

ESPN capologist on now, dolt..imho each one of the three takes a haircut to ensure it isn't the Nuevo Tres Amgios and 8 schlubs..which is why no one has signed a contract as of yet.

Don't be too hard on him. He built that team out in Portland. He's just breaking it down for the average ESPN viewer who has the intelligence of a turnip and the sports knowledge of Stu Scott's pillow.

Lebrons a die hard Buckeye fan.....

He has been on the sideline of many big games, how ironic that he likely would be boo'd out of the shoe when the Buckeyes pound MIAMI this September?

Life is funny...Im not a Cavs fan but Lebron wont be welcome on that sideline anymore I can bet u that.

So? The best player in the league needs help. Even when Wade was amazing back in the NBA finals he had help.

I'm not saying the Cleveland team with Lebron isn't good enough, but it's obvious even the best players are mortal.

More on the Accuscore projected stats Sec mentioned:

Heat W-L record without LeBron: 55-27. With: 66-16.
Chance of a conference title without: 19.7%. With: 57.1%.
Chance of an NBA title without: 9.9%. With: 35.3%.

Would love to know their methodology on this.

I was thinking the exact same thing and wanted to be polite about it. Portland and OKC butting heads will be the main storyline in the West for the next couple of years, I think. Portland might--MIGHT--have a narrow window to get a title if LeBron only signs a four year deal as rumored.

Randy Pfund must be thinking "Damn, do I really want this job now?"

Hey man... I'm right there with all of the other idiots when it comes to the NBA cap.

I see no shame in not knowing how the NBA cap works. Its the biggest cluster**** I've ever seen...

I'm relying on that guy and guys on here to tell me what we can and cant do b/c of the cap. I hate not knowing for myself... and having to depend on others... but that cap makes no ****ing sense...

Everyone needs help no question but to form a semi dream team waters down your "moment" IMO....

But like one of the 4 billion reporters said, Lebron deep down doesnt want to be the man and I tend to agree.

Kobe Bryant is the hands down the best player in the NBA imo, he had some help but he also has 5 rings.

Here's how the NBA cap works: it doesn't exist.

If you go over the "cap" total, then you pay a 100% luxury tax. Meaning, for every dollar you exceed the cap by, you pay that exact same amount to the NBA league office in a tax. So if you exceed the cap by $200,000, then you're actually paying out $400,000: $200k to the contract and $200k to the league office.

The only true cap in the NBA is on the maximum value of contracts, which is determined by how many years you've been in the league and whether or not a team is re-signing the player in question. The longer you've been in the league, the more money you get. If you re-sign with your current team, you get more money.

Sec can elaborate further than that.

As for the segments themselves, I'm just pointing out that ESPN has to give watered-down explanations because their average viewer doesn't conceive of any of this. ESPN's viewers have been trained to look at only the player drama in sports and not the business side.
