    Thanks for the info HD..

This entire FA period feels like a big fiasco.. The inmates are running the asylum.. And to tell you the truth I'm starting to sour on this big mess...

Not only is it getting tiring, but it is diminishing my view of both the league and these players that are toying with millions of dedicated fans that spend a good chunk of change supporting these players... And the funniest thing about this is that the big khanu in this, Lebron, has quietly stood by and looked like the bigger man.. Wade had no problem running his mouth about Miami is his home and spreading all this false hope.. While Lebron kept his mouth shut, respected the fans and didn't make any false statements.. I'd take Lebron's honesty any day over the Wade and Le'Bosh documentary show.

Does anyone know where the original report of Wade back to recruiting for the MIAMI HEAT after his meeting with Arison came from? I want to email it out and see if I can get something on it....

From what I hear Raptors & Cavs not as far down line on sign-and-trade as is being reported. There have been some talks, not serious yet.
    http://twitter.com/PDcavsinsider/status/17879665294

The Cavs-Raps S&T is and was a load of manure, IMO.

It makes no sense schematically for either team, as CLE would be stuck with Jamison playing back up to Bosh at $11 mill, and I still think the numbers don't work w/o Jamison included which makes any trade completely unpalatable for the Raps.

This stuff is coming out b/c the Raps have something in mind that they want that they haven't been offered yet. Is it their lotto pick? Is it something else? Cash? I don't know, but I don't believe for one second that they won't deal with us out of "spite"

Exactly. Bosh not willing to play center kills that entire idea, IMO. Furthermore he doesn't want to play in Cleveland.... he's a media whore and a glamor boy. He's got the idea of Miami, Chicago, or Houston (close to his hometown Dallas) in his head as realistic options and he's not giving up that opportunity for Cleveland.

Toronto would have to be really stupid to accept a deal centered around JJ Hickson to begin with. I really don't get the hype with JJ Hickson. He seems like a young player that will develop into a solid rotation big; if he was so good and promising they'd of relied on him more in the playoffs when they were desperate for help.

If JJ Hickson is more attractive than Michael Beasley, then that's not sad on Michael Beasley's part.... it's sad on Coleangelo's.

Another option I like especially if we can't retail Haslem and Beasley is moved is Tyrus Thomas.... I've only heard his name linked to the New Jersey Nets and that's puzzling to me. I wonder how low the market really is for him? If it's under mid level then I'd jump all over him. Doubt he'd sign to backup Chris Bosh though.

    100% agree on all accounts.

There is no chance, none, that Bosh goes to CLE. I think he'd leave the $30 mill on the table. He didn't come this far, for this moment, to swap out Toronto for Cleveland. No disrespect to Phinomina, but it just ain't happening.

With his "no center" stance a cleveland deal is impossible, as Jamison's contract is untradable, more so than even Luol Deng's.

I really think Beasley could be the holdup. I like him as a player but I would not let him stand in the way of this deal. I am coming more and more to the idea that LBJ backed out of this gentlemen's agreement the 3 had. It's the only thing that makes sense given the 1st day of FA where Bosh and Wade sent their infamous "someones missing" photo to today where people are openly contemplating Wade leaving Miami and Bosh going to Cleveland, two notions that were preposterous last Thursday.

The holdup, the consternation, everything, is because LBJ backed out of the Dream Team, I'm almiost sure of it.

Have to agree bro. The only thing better then a team I can't stand not getting a superstar player they thought they getting would be my team actually getting that player. Oh revenge would be so sweet :)

The 86 Mets won because of a ****ty Red Sox bullpen. They didn't even deserve to win that game, much less the series. Not to mention that series is only remembered because of the Buckner play (when the game was already tied, I might add)

The best World Series ever was the 91' series Braves vs. Twins. The home team won every game, and it had a couple walk-off wins, not to mention John Smoltz and Jack Morris going ape**** for 11 innings. I cried because the Bravos lost, but dammit that was good baseball.

Actually it might just be, because he's clearly out of shape based on the pics I just posted. Don't think he's doing much working out.

I wonder if Wade is ever going to dedicate himself again like the 2008 offseason?

Me thinks his genetics suck.... he gets fat in the face easily every summer and struggles to get to full speed early on.

Agree. He was never better than during the Olympics and the following season. That year he truly was the best player in the world.

Perhaps with the divorce/custody issues behind him (wherever he goes) he will finally be able to fully focus on basketball.

If Miami trades JO/Beasley for Haywood in a sign-and-trade with Haywood signing a deal starting at $8 million per, it would only cost us $3 million in difference. That would open up the opportunity to perhaps add Haywood, Mike Miller, and Raymond Felton along with Wade and Bosh. Then you work on Udonis Haslem.... perhaps you even go Haywood, Miller, and Haslem if there's still faith in Chalmers and a vet minimum guy like Watson or Dooling.

I just don't know if my stomach would be able to deal with a trade that essentially moves Beasley for Haywood.

Options, fellas. We're loaded with them. Just need to get a commitment from Bosh; forget about Wade. He comes back with Bosh automatically.

I appreciate ford's honesty in that the media is basically being played. and played by people who aren't all that sophisticated or even intelligent (ie Maverick Carter). When John Feinstein or somebody else writes a book about this summer we're going to view guys like Broussard, SAS as comic tragic figures who were simply dupes and pawns in a larger game that they would've seen if they were real reporters rather than just hacks desparate to be first with whatever piece of non-news they were fed.

For the Heat, we need to get Bosh/Wade committed. Then, if they want they can take one last shot at LBJ. If he waffles or wastes time we say forget it and move on to Haywood/Miller.

Don't read this if you don't want to puke....

Two trades offered to Miami on Draft Night 2008:

Mike Conley, 5th pick for rights to Michael Beasley.
Rudy Gay, 5th pick for rights to Michael Beasley.

Riley wanted Gay, Conley, and the 5th pick. He was going to select Brook Lopez.

I would've taken Gay and the 5th pick in a heartbeat over Michael Beasley.

Getting all three would've been the rape of all rapes though.

Wow if true. I think Wade would be commited by now with Conley/Gay plus Lopez on the team.

Regardless, why would the conley deal not still be on the table? Just because of Randolph, who is an expiring? Seems to me we could use Memphis, as we typically do in any S&T should we need the assistance. As long as chris Wallace has a job in the NBA, Riley will have a friend willing to help him out.

It is hilarious to me, that I know a couple of connected people because I drink with them...and yet these Media douchebags job is to provide the information that I have provided here already.

I love how all of a sudden..a bunch of Bron vs. Wade for Bosh reports pop up.

These media clowns obviously lack social grace.

It's going to be Bosh. Just keep saying it.

Bosh just has to commit. Then the Raps will have no choice but to take whatever we give them in a S&T. Bosh is letting them have too much power right now. He needs to grow a pair and make a decision.

I just watched a kid on youtube the other day, dressed in his lil Kevin Garnett duds, balling his eyes out because the Celtics blew it in the fourth quarter of Game 7. 15 years from now, I expect him to be on message boards calling Laker fans names and still crying because the Celtics lost.

Thank you Sec, and WORD to your Source.

Bosh is keeping the Raptors in the game, when there is no reason for him to do that. Bosh needs to make up his mind and commit, then the power returns to him. Right now, the way Bosh is playing, give the Raptors the actual control (working their own S&T's) and the spin control (they are dilligently working while Bosh is tweeting)

Until he publically commits the game continues. And he is holding 4 franchises futures in his hands (TOR, MIA, CLE and CHI)

Would YOU walk away from an extra 29 million dollars? Especially when the collective bargaining agreement is set to neuter the players' salaries next year?

That is a tough pill to swallow, especially since Bosh isn't a media darling and won't get the endorsements like Wade, James, etc.

By the way Byron Scott is 75-85% sure LBJ is staying.

Frankly, not great odds 48 hours or so out from the decision by the new head coach who was hired partly to placate LBJ.

He doesn't have to walk away, just be convincing in the threat that he will. Once he commits publically, toronto either loses him for nothing or works a deal with the team he commits to. It's that simple.

Right now Toronto has a bunch of deals on the table. All of them go away the moment Bosh commits.

I've got to think that Haywood/Boozer keeps Wade in a worst case scenario, thus the reason why I really don't see Wade leaving now when I think about it.... the only thing that could go wrong is Chicago jumping the gun, giving up on Bosh, and signing Boozer, then Bosh ends up in Houston.

Chicago can't afford to jump the gun as they're too invested in the LBJ/Wade fantasy.

They were swindled by a two bit con man in WWW and need to save face by sticking into this to the end. Then, and only then, can they sell Boozer to the fans. "Hey, we tried. You all saw ESPN say we were the favorite everyday for a solid month."
