lol Im with HD. I just don't respect Boozer that much. He totally bombed in Cleveland. In Utah he's got a great PG, good role players around him and has a legendary coach directing the team. Not that Boozer totally sucks, he's just slightly above average and thats just not good enough for me.
Well to be fair we didn't have a center and only only 4 years is guaranteed. I'm optimistic from what Dark said saying he is out to prove the haters wrong.
two reasons... One. We don't want him. I've said before and ill say again that the worst spot to be in the nba is good. Good is that 40-50win range where you aren't good enough to win an nba title and not bad enough to get a top three pick where the talent really is. That's where Carlos boozer gets you... Two. His skill set isn't a match for the d'antoni offense. No jumper, not very athletic, not a great passer...he's a half court player
WOW...I just don;t share this Carlos Boozer hate with you guys. To be honest, I think you all are out of your minds. I guess INCREASING your rebounding output and scoring in the playoffs..is a bad thing? The only thing wrong with Boozer is that he dogs it during the season...but are there better clutch performers than Boozer at the PF position?
Carlos Boozer has a Career Playoff average of 20.3 PPG and 12.5 Rebs on 50% shooting. what am I missing here?
Deleted it after I realized that. Was thinking big men. If it's PFs we could probably go back to the Early 80s - Late 90's. Currently playing though, It might be hard to find a few.
He's not bad as a third wheel but I can't see him as a second piece on a championship team. He doesn't command a double like amare or bosh for example, he's a bit older and his explosion is limited. Based on his injury history I have my resignations about committing four or five years to him at his age. I understand amare has an injury history as well but he is younger. The last part with boozer is he's a bit undersized for a pf. He's like 6'8"-6'9" and isn't a shot blocker. And for the knicks, again his skill set really doesn't fit the d'antoni offense
Boik...... My source thinks the Knicks goal..unless LBJ signs..is to try to put together a Parker/Mike Miller/ Amare... Offseason.
unless mike miller is my sixth or seventh man that really doesn't do much for me. Amare and parker part isn't a problem.
not really. Hes a 3 point specialist who plays average d with not many steals or blocks. He fits the Barbosa role to a degree...instant offense off the bench. Not sure I like him for anything more then that....
He's a much better defender than Barbosa. He's good at getting in transition, because he can find the soft spots in transition defense. He's the type of guy that will work without the ball and get a lot of open 3 point looks. He gives you flexibility too, because he has the size to play SF.
Of course he is. As I told you on a text message a few weeks ago, Farmar feels he can lead a team as a starting PG. The Lakers are sick of him, he is sick of the Lakers, so he is moving on. I actually think he would be good playing with LeBron, but thats just me. I think I also predicted Blake to the Lakers in this thread, but I am too lazy to look for it.
If Toronto doesn't want to do a sign-and-trade then he'll stay in Toronto. That's my off the wall prediction that would shock everyone including Raptors fans. Don't let Bosh/Wade hanging out fool you.... he's still all about himself. He's clinging onto Wade for the attention. I can't see Chris Bosh leaving a penny on the table to sign elsewhere. Not even a penny.
props to dirk for leaving his team wiggle room....80m is still plenty of guap. Some people talk about winning and then when it comes time to be unselfish, they aren't. Dirk could play for my knicks anytime...
