Okay, the bunch at the Miami Herald has a poll out... about the 'coolest' nickname for a Dolphin player... Now, only one of these really means anything to me, personally, and that was Gilchrist... because I am that old. But, I also think the 'cool' factor is somewhat .... exaggerated, to say the least. So... why don't we come up with a nickname for our fullback, Mr. Polite... Something like McNasty Polite or some such. I'll leave that to your imagination. But, we need a 'cooler' nickname than those mentioned above. None of them are even in the same class as "Bam" Cunningham, or "Babe" Parilli. And, I'm not really talking about something like "The Nigerian Nightmare" either. Have Fun!!!!
Abdul-Jabbar and Dar Dar weren't nicknames, they were actually the guys' names. I too like Cookie Gilchrist, but won't say so because that reflects vividly on my age.... I still like Cecil 'The Diesel' Collins. Not the man, the moniker...
