even with culver starting, we're still better than last year, and get even better with fergy back. Wake can be just as good as Dumervil.
Yes, but the 09 Denver Broncos defense was not good enough to get to the playoffs so why would we be content to be as good as them?
Denver weren't disciplined enough to continue winning. Our coaches are better and we won't chose...mark my words
How about this: Even thoe i think our defense is way better then the broncos defense last year, I'm still concerned about the Defense a little bit.... 1)we need a better Free safety like sharper or Atwoge but for now lets go with Clemons 2)channing crowder has to be moved to outside he really cannot play the MLB position, that was proven to me last year, crowder was just as garbage as gibril Wilson last year 3)Koa Misi can play alongside dansby at MLB since everybody's been talking about how versatile he is and how he can play so much positions
Channing did just fine the year before. With improved team play, I would expect him to return to that form rather than last year. Our entire defense just about underperformed.
The ILBs in Miami are better suited for the system (Dansby vs. the overmatched in the 3-4 Williams). The secondary is up for grabs but probably in Denver's favor even with Miami's improvement. The DL is world's apart though. Fields can't rush the passer. McDonald and Peterson were pretty mediocre if not below average. Miami's defensive line is by far one of the most athletic 3-4 DLs I've seen in years if Starks can hold up inside. Then again it's not inconceivable really. I mean you see the Colts hold up with no size inside and perform reasonably well. The size difference between the two defenses is world's apart. What's interesting about Miami not only on defense but more so as a team is that the Dolphins have really slung picks left and right all over in an adept fashion outside of the White-Turner disaster. LT, DE, DE, CB, CB, WR, B.M., DE, OLB, OG The sheer emphasis up front is quite promising and they do it year after year. I just wish they had done it last year instead of White, but I like this draft and this defense.
I know we're all Dolphin fans here, but lets take the aqua/orange tinted goggles off for a minute and be real... The Broncos have two sure-fire hall of fame defensive backs in their secondary that are easily top 5 of the generation at their respective positions. I like our 2 young corners and Bell is okay, but we're not even close to Denver's secondary yet. Denver's D was scary the 1st part of last year, and only fell off after Dawkins got hurt. We still have to find a safety before we can say we're comparable to them at all in that aspect. On everything else I agree, though. Our Front 7 is world's better.
The Broncos defense was horrible two years ago. Nolan really turned them around. Dumervil's play was the key.
