I'm quite sure, after beating you guys in your house, then in our house, you were all like, "No prob just a hiccup."

You understand, we made your coach cry, right. You remember, don't you? Fat guy...wah-wah?

Big news and it came cheap we lose no first round pick. I can't believe Miami pulled the trigger now it's up to Marshall to change his life around.

LOL in Miami's system Tedd Ginn killed Revis repeatedly. You can bet that Marshall in Miami has Revis, and Gastricbypass worried more..

Think of this line up Marshall, Bess and Hartline that leaves the last position duke out between Camerillo and Ginn. I think Camarillo holds an edge as he is reliable when he gets open and he fights for extra yardage.

For perspective, here are the stats of our top two receivers now...

Brandon Marshall: 101 receptions, 1120 yards, 10 TDs 11.1 ypc
Davone Bess: 76 receptions, 758 yards, 2 TDs, 10 ypc

Granted the numbers for Davone will probably go down some, but not a whole lot in my opinion. If we can get that type of production from our top two receivers, combined with a running game that should still be top 10, then call me a happy Dol-Fan.

Hi, Mr. No Life Troll.

I've seen the Dolphins win playoff games in the past and although it was nice, the main goal was to be "Super Bowl" champions, not AFC Divisional and Semi-final champions. And if my team backs into the playoffs like the Jets did, I certainly wouldn't be proclaiming them the next NFL dynasty like Jet fans are doing.

    Facts:

    1. The Dolphins swept your sorry overrated team last year
    2. The Jets have a below .500 record lifetime
    3. The Dolphins have won the Super Bowl and that beloved AFC championship game you're all so proud of more recently than the Jets
    4. The Jets were formed just to annoy the Giants (the real football team in New York).
    5. If Peyton Manning didn't take the rest of the day off, the Jets would have been home playing catch with their grandma

I'm thrilled with the trade... although i worry about his off field issues and character ... all the networks are praising the trade, because of his talent .. lets hope Vonnie Hollidays' statements about Marshall are true and he has turned the corner in his personal life... when i look at Marshall i see Orande Gadsden 2.0!!! but only better ... i love the fact that he is ONLY 26, with his whole career ahead of him ... his presence will add life to the running game and IMO keep Ronnie and Ricky playing longer ... i didn't think this would happen ... but if the report is true that BP and company "Had to do Something" to counter the Jets ... perhaps the Jets did Miami a favor with all the moves they made!!! lets hope for the best ... i'm STUNNED to say the least!!!

Why need him returning kicks, when we have another guy to do that....go away.....u clown, who cares what you think, you root for a team that can't even get the back page of the Post, how pathetic is that?? Rex's gets all loud to try and steal it away from the Giants, but it never happens......I would rather actually not even make the playoffs, than go to the AFC Championship and choke.....cuz that is pretty much all you guys are......gag artists, from New Jersey....We will have fun stomping you once again this year both times and again in the playoffs, if we allow you to backdoor it in again.....I cant wait until Incognito chop blocks Jenkins, ending his career, and Long pancakes Scott so hard that his d*ck ends up in good ole Bart's mouth, where he likes it.....break north you idoit, before I drive down there to Stankolia and set your house on fire, and take your bi*ch.....bring it....

I was worried about BMs character issues, but even so he is a great talent and seems to be getting better. I was for drafting Dez Bryant instead of trading for Marshall but I am excited the front office had the cahones to pull this off and what it means for the team.
The best part is if we get a great player in the first it will seem like we got two 1st round picks. Even with the questions aabout Marshall there is no denying his talent, skills and abilities. You have to get stoked with the fact as good as he is, he is 6'4" and 230 lbs and can run over people. It would be perfect if the Dolphins were able to trade down and recoup the 2nd rounder this year.
P.S....its great to see all these happy Dolphin fans.

That's it? You've been begging for a WR for a whole year, and this is your response after getting a top 5 Wr!

    I'm dissapointed.

Why are Jets fans coming and posting negative things?? Come and post about how competitive the division is if you want, not stupid crap in April.
You want to post stupid crap? Well, here's some for you: Angry that we just overshadowed your suspended Holmes, by signing Marshall? The Jets don't scare us, who cares if you lost in the AFC Championship game. At least we have an AFC East title to show, I'd rather have that then a playoff victory as a wild card that doesnt end with any championship at all.

The Dolphins as a franchise have plenty of playoff victories, I want a Super Bowl, not just a playoff victory. I can see why a playoff win is good enough for you though, considering the Dolphins have won the division more times then the Jets have even made the playoffs even as a wild card in their history.

phew, just had to get that off my chest.

What, exactly, am I looking for here? All I see is a bio filled with a bunch of his college accolades and highlights. What's your point? There's plenty of great college RB's who didn't pan out in the pros.

And like I said, check the guys YAC stats (that takes into account the level of quality blocks he's getting).

And he's the most pure running back of this decade?... Yeah, maybe on madden. Heck, he's not even the most pure running back on his team RIGHT NOW... let alone of this decade.

The spirit of this place last night, was probably the lowest I've seen it.

The powers that be, apparently heard the incessant wails of discontent, and delivered the plasma requested.

    haha I thought about that.

Agree, so many people trying to do their best Chicken Little imitation this off-season. We fire Paul Pasqualoni and after a few defensive coordinators get jobs everyone blasts the FO and panics, then in comes Mike Nolan. Two hours after free agency opens up and the FO is called lazy, then bam welcome Dansby. Jest sign Holmes and site is on suicide watch, Marshall gets signed to a big deal. Two of our biggest needs were filled by proven players entering their prime; basically upgraded Ayodele to Dansby and Ginn to Marshall. Richie keeps his temper in check and looks to be a good job in free agency by the trio. Not saying they have a crystal ball and maybe they didn't luck out on some things but be patient guys.

I'm sorry to say this but I JUST started reading the thread from the top and stopped myself because the first few pages were so negative,I won't subject myself to the constant bashing of my team.
This is ridiculous if anyone here, except Jet fans of course, feel that this trade is anything but astounding..Parcells is not know for this. This franchise is not known for this. It finally happens to us and a bunch of Dolphin fan's don't like it?
What is going on around here?
We all talked about making a splash, and it is now in Miami.
Welcome my Diva,Stud receiver most of us have been waiting for.
It's great to see you on the Dolphins sideline and not playing for the opponent.

Way to go,FO. Maybe they DO listen to the fans....

I am devastated right now. But I knew this was coming. And I was hoping he'd be traded to the Dolphins if he was going to be traded anywhere. :knucks:

I have a hard time trusting Brandon to stay out of trouble wherever he goes, so I really hope he can stay out of trouble for you guys. We'll see how he does being back in Florida, in the city of Miami, with a ton of money. He has told the Broncos many times that he's changed and that he'll stay out of trouble, then not long after would get into trouble again. I hope he'll listen to himself now.

I had to stop reading the post to reply. You r crazy if u think McFadden is the best pure RB of the decade, What about LT, AP, LJ, Marshall Faulck, and on and on and on. McFadden is as much of a pure RB as Ginn is a pure WR.

But back to the point, This is great. I think Marshall gets alopt of **** bc of what he pulled last year during trainging camp(not catching the ball and punting it away) but throughout the season he showed that he was a great teamate and player. We all say when his coach came up to hug him at the presser and it looks like all the players liked him too. He is a top 3 WR easy, young, and exactly what our off. needed if u ask me I would have gave up the 2 2nd round picks all day for this guy. I said before i dont feel a concern for his issues I think our FO is smart enought to not pick u[p another TO.

So, we have picked up top 5 talent at what was arguably our two biggest needs, WOW.

For the draft I see us trading a player for picks( I hate to say it but maybe Brown), drafting E.Berry, or E.Thomas and picking up a NT and OLB with the next two picks. And can u imagine if we picked up a recieving TE to hit the seams. Our Team is SCARY GOOD. I really think our D will show great improvement with Nolan... I am pumped for the season to start.

I like the receiver but I don't like the man. If, as a Dolphin, the receiver is the one making the headlines that's all I hope for. The receiver brings many of the skills that we have been lacking for a long time. The man brings potential to be suspended on any given week for stupidity.

I hope the team has built some strict clauses relating to personal conduct into his contract.
