Just had my hard drive reformatted, now, I'm being forced to login everytime I switch pages or change forums. Also, the Thanks button doesn't work and replies to post not functioning. Hope this post works!
when you log in there's a box that says "remember me" click that. as far as the thanks button not working your guess is as good as mine.
Sounds like your password and login name are not being saved, you are logging in but after say 15 minutes, the forum automatically logs you out Bro. Try checking the remember me box?
Thanks Andrew. Just discovered that cookies for "ThePhins" was being put in the "exceptions" box. I changed that so maybe it will work now.
Thanks Alex! I rechecked cookies and found that they were being put in the exceptions box. I think it's working correctly now. Thanks again Guys!
I just had my hard drive reformatted due to viruses picked up from and old girl friend on FaceBook. She didn't have that 40 years ago! lol
Not only more mileage on the tires, but her fenders are wrinkled too! She is UGGGGLY! I'm through with the FaceBook experience.
Yes, I did Kenny. I guess the grand kids clipped my original disk because I couldn't find it. When I say I changed, I really replaced XP Pro with another XP Pro, just not the original from Dell.
Okay, bur XP is still XP. I was wondering if you "upgraded" to the VERY f-ed up vista or its ugly sister W-os7.
Ain't that the truth. I upgraded awhile back to Vista and sorry that I ever did. So, I went up to 7 and it's not a whole lot better at all. XP rocks better than any of them. thankfully, I kept it on my desk top pc. The only reason I upgraded to begin with was that XP had been out awhile and some of the stuff you see now is not compatible any longer with XP. So, by not wanting to be left in the dark, i am in the dark !!!
You might want to check your browser config. as well. Go to the security tab under tools and make sure the "remeber passwords for sites" box is checked. Also, right there, you can add exceptions for any site you want to eliminate.
i have vista on one of my machines and ive never had a problem i have 7 on my laptop and it is basically vista with some positive tweaks no problems with that os either
Glad they are working out for you Also very glad I am still on XP. ANY OS that requires 2 gigs of RAM just to run is just poor by design IMHO.
