it's funny, i'm the only committee member on right now, and I'm working... on a Saturday... ... Guess I have to make a pick for Buffalo
Buffalo pick is in, Oakland is on the clock, according to the schedule (hope that is accurate) at pick 91. they have one hour.
Pick 91 is from 4pm-5pm EST. He got his pick in on time and quite quickly, especially considering how long he was on the clock vs buffalo. Jax has until 6pm EST to make their selection.
referencing the Colts pick of Montario Hardesty.....yeah, good pick. Peyton Manning now has one more target.
I am actually mad at the Raiders because they just took my guy, now I really need to trade down or do something silly...
stop complaining and draft a real tight end. draft one that can high five cameron wake 11 feet in the air.
this has always been a question for me...why does a team not in time for their pick get the benefit of having someone make a pick for them? Shouldn't that team be left in the clock to make the pick whenever? That way they can pick the best available player they like instead of getting stuck with whoever you decide?
why do they get to hold up the draft? should be they get bumped down and the draft goes on w/ the next guy, then after that guy goes if he is back he is on the clock, if notb u keep going
I would prefer that they be skipped over like the real draft. But these are the rules we go by. If Buffalo misses their next pick (not sure when that is) they forefeit their remaining picks.
Speaking of benefit of the doubt... I'm having a going away party right now so I'll have my last pick of the night in, but may be a few minutes late... dont hate...
Does anyone know a way to get ahold of Denver? Hopefully Paul will let things slide before he picks for him. Guys, leave a bulletin if you're not sure you won't be around. I know I'm going to get the "I had something going on, blah blah blah" but it doesn't take long to send me or someone else a top 3-5 list of prospects you want at your pick. Especially the day of your pick. That's why we have a schedule.
He's not a tight end and can't block worth a ****... Sparano would have had my balls on a platter if I would have taken him.
Gentlemen, I would like to apologize for today. I left the house this morning at about 9 a.m., thinking I'd be gone for an hour, two tops. I didn't get back until about an hour ago. I know I should have left a bullpen list with someone but I really didn't think I'd be gone for long. I didn't have computer access where I was and I didn't know anyone's cell# to leave a text. I'd like to thank the committee for selecting for me and I'd like to again say sorry for holding things up.
