Round 3...still great value speaking of which... You guys let Alex Carrington drop to me? I was waiting on him for 2 days now...and he still made it.
Yea. I liked PSGs and Sections picks. I was kind of hoping Dwyer fell to me because he's one of my favorite players.
Damn it!!!! Dwyer is the 2nd best back in the draft IMVHO. Was tryinbg to trade up to get him....I just didn't have any bullets left in the chamber.
that wasn't fair. we agreed to one thing, and then he posted something completely different and forced me to agree.
I've got Paul's write-up for pick 78 and my write-up for pick 79 done ... Hopefully Adam is on and picks within the next couple hours.
****. I had 3 guys in mind for my pick and 2 of them have gone today. Hopefully the 3rd guy lasts through 2 more picks or I'll cry a little bit inside.
Tate is a standout runningback in this draft, IMO. He's got the speed of Jahvid Best, but with 20 more lbs of muscle. His 40.5" vertical is matched by no other RB in this draft. He is a fast explosive back, but is well capable of taking the beating of an interior runner. His ability to read and set up blocks makes his speed even more of a weapon. This completes the Eagles running back quartet for 2010. LeSean McCoy - 1st tailback - speed, outside game, hands Ben Tate - 2nd tailback - speed, inside and outside game, power Leonard Weaver - Fullback - power, hands Kevin Faulk - 3rd tailback - 3rd down, hands, speed That's a pretty good balance of power and speed. Westbrook will be missed, but Tate and McCoy offer new opportunities.
Carolina made a nice pick with Gibson. Not sure about him at 43 olb. it would have to be a scheme with heavy blitzing from the LBs. i could see him as a 34 end, or 34 olb. kinda like merling. just needs to pick one and go for it.
Gibson was a monster steal. The guy will very likely be a 2nd round pick and he goes at the bottom half of the 3rd here. Outstanding pick by Carolina.
