To drive the Tesla Roadster Sport is to learn the meaning of range anxiety. The souped-up version of Tesla's Roadster does not want for range: Apply a feather touch on the accelerator and you'll get some 236 miles on a charge. That's by far the best of the electric cars on the road or on the horizon. But you're not going to go easy. Stomping that go pedal is too much fun. http://www.wired.com/reviews/product/pr_tesla_sport
So here in lies the problem and why we will be paying $10 a gallon for gasoline 30 people have viewed this and not one comment
yeah.... If you got $120K to blow on a car I'm sure most folks would rather be rocking one that says Ferrari or Bentley and $10 isn't crap for them
It's a good thing the car manufacturers are doing. If they can make speedy cars, it will appeal more to the US I think. Now they just need to create enough power to replace trucks.......
Seriously, if you want to impress people, make an electric car that gets better range with less power, slap 4 doors on it and make it nondescript like a Corolla, and sell it for $15,000 to $20,000. The world would be changed overnight.
I'll get one for an everyday driver for sure...but man I still need that weekend toy. You just can't get that from an electric.
