If he was to get drafted here, Weatherspoon is an ILB all the way.

Looks like they changed Weatherspoon's "official" time in the forty to 4.68.

Taylor Mays ran a 4.43 today, although I haven't seen any coverage today. Is anyone watching? If so, how does the DB class look?

I would love it if we got Earl Thomas.

Wish I would've seen some of today's coverage. The talking heads just finished gushing over Mays combination of speed and strength. Although, I've heard others question his coverage skills. So, what's the deal with this guy? If we go in a different direction at #12, is there a chance he's still on the board at #43? And, if so, would he be a good addition? Or, is he more of a SS than a FS?

He's pretty damn bad in coverage. I've read several NFL Scouts talk about moving him to OLB.

Yeah, just read an article pretty much saying the same thing Alen. Thanks.

Too bad. The guy's measurables were awesome!

So, are you one of the many hoping we take Thomas at #12?

    No problem. :)

I like Thomas a lot. He's been my number two safety since the rumors starting coming around that he could come out. I wouldn't complain one bit if we took him but if we did pass on him for another player, say Jerry Hughes of TCU, I wouldn't be disappointed.

How about Mays in a Tampa 2 defense?

Indeed, we think very much alike on these two Alen.
My dream would be Dez round one, Hughes round 2 and his playmate Washington in 3.
Don't think any of those guys last to those picks, but I can still dream.

Yeah, I like Hughes too. But, I really like him at #43.

Possible. WOLB would be a problem because he needs to stay disciplined and that requires a lot of smarts along with instincts. SOLB could be an option because of his range and foot speed but that requires him to take on tight ends, which also worries me.

Somebody's going to figure out what to do with him.

I'm not sure his explosiveness at the line lets him slip to 43. He's improved as a player the past season IMO, especially recognizing tailbacks out of the backfield. I also heard he did well in LB drills and ran well too (4.63, 4.64).

I wonder if Seattle needs help in the secondary (or, at LB)? Seeing as how that's where his college coach now is.

They need a safety. Both strong and flex.

You're probably right Alen. Late first rounder in all likelihood. Although, you never know. Stranger things have happened. And, every year players slip. So, we'll see.

You might be right, as you said, you never know. All we can do is wait and see, I suppose.
