I think the only question about this, is whether its true, or just a smokescreen.

I would lean toward it being somewhat true...just my opinion though...

See, this just boggles my mind. If someone offered me a multi million dollar Contract... to go out and play Football, you can rest assured I wouldn't be sleeping in or doing anything out of line.

I'm sure he knows more than a few people who can't even get jobs coming out of college, let alone multi million dollar ones.

Its a red flag on any player who doesn't do what he is supposed to do and what he is expected to do. Knowing that his play in college, behavior and character will be the determining factor in his future in the NFL. A problem child is definitely not what the team needs at this point and time in their rebuild, or ever for that matter.
That sounds like Terrell Owens type of behavior, if it is true.
Evidently if it is true his coaches let him get away with it, that wont happen at the next level.

With the exception of the T.O. in Dallas issue (injury or hurt feelings?) regarding practice, I think comparing Bryant to Owens is a little off.

Correct me if I am wrong, but when Owens practices, the guy practices with the best of them. I do not recall Owens ever being called lazy. Being called a dummy? Yeah.

But I think in this particular instance, I think it's a bad comparison.

I doubt that is true. You think some D1 coach is going to put up with that? I find that hard to believe... I really do.

I dunno. I mean, some NFL coaches put up with it. Why not a D1 coach?

If this kid performs on the field, the coach's job security is not necessarily in question.

I can see it happening, maybe more often than we know?

Even if he is right on...do we pass on a Randy Moss talent again?

At some point, you've got to take a chance that the kid will snap out of it.

If it makes you feel any better, a coach from the big 12 told me that he may not be the sharpest tool in the shed but that he's a good kid..

This dude just wants to be a professional playing at the highest level, he's a race horse, that has to wait to run...

He screwed up, and will probably screw up again at some point in his life...I just dont think that his instances have been of harmful intensions..I think hes impatient, and he needs to be challenged.

Superior athlete, thoroughbred that needs to run to be happy.

with all of the holes we have at Linebacker and defensive tackle you want to roll the dice with a guy that has everyone chuckling when they discuss him?

Yes.......I'd rather not re-live the Randy Moss thing all over again so that we can use the #12 pick on a non core position or reach for a guy, 15 or 20 picks sooner than his value dictates.

Bryant at #12 is what is called getting great value for your pick....

Get your LB's in FA and leave these draft picks to me;]

Last year there were all sorts of rumors about Percy Harvin .That he was dopehead ,a dunce,,a bad teammate, injury prone etc.

All designed to make him drop in the draft and he did .

He won the offensive rookie of the year award.

Marino was supposed to be cokehead which made him drop.

Dont believe any rumors at this time of year. They are usually greatly exxagerated.

Sometimes I wonder if agents for other kids aren't the ones starting rumors so a kid they don't handle drops below their kid. I don't have a very high opinion of agents to begin with, so this wouldn't surprise me.
