I already broke down my positioning point by point in a long *** post and in response got one sentence... that is where the "debate" ended. Quite honestly, you're far too ignorant of a poster (with an aura like you know it all and your word is gold, which, for whatever reason baffles me) to ever argue against. When I disagree with someone on a respectable forum, I give that person the opportunity to present their case regardless.

FYI, no "fallback position" needed whatsoever. I don't play that game. I keep it 100 regardless of the situation. I already proved my point. I was done with the discussion but you decided to get back with it for whatever reason since you never broke down my actual post on the topic.

Ira Windemen put Wade's returning at 50-50 if the Heat miss the playoffs.

Two months ago he had Wade's return at 100%

1 month ago 75%

2 weeks ago..70%

He also pointed out that since the Championship run the Heat have actually won very few playoff games..

Perhaps so, he also brought up a really good point about whether or not Riles still has cache with current NBA players, Showtime was awhile ago Sect..

Somewhere in the earlier part of this thread we went around and around about the perils of "wait till next yr" thinking and it's effect on players, but Winderman took it to a new level when he pointed out that the time when Riles isn't Coaching in Miami, the team is typically a poor playoff performer.

The Team when not coached by Riley has done these things:

42-40 4th seed, loses second round of playoffs 4-2 to #1 Indiana.

59-23 1 seed, Loses in EC Finals 4-3 to #2 Detroit.

43-39 5th Seed loses to #4 Atlanta 1st round 4-3.

SO yeah..Ira is an idiot. I would say the OPPOSITE...when RIley is NOT coaching, the team seems to do a little better. It is not like SVG or Spoelstra lost 3 times as a #1 seed in the first round. Oops.

From what I've heard the Commentariat doesn't like the fact that Spo is trying to have it both ways, "if' this is a lost season then Beas should be playing just to gain experience so when they do sign new guys (if they can, there are no Guarantees) Wade and Beas will have chemistry, but instead Spo is putting guys who give a better chance to win this year into games at key moments..

Beasley is 2nd on this team in minutes only to Wade.
He is a second year player. he is not he problem.

The problems are:

Daquan Cook forgot how to play basketball.

Rafer Alston can't shoot.

james Jones has never recovered from his wrist injury.

Mario Chalmers has regressed and doesn't play good defense anymore.

We have Dwyane Wade..a NOW consistent JO..Haslem who is a energy guy and a young developing player in Beasley.

it some point..the guys that are actually on the court need to take responsibility.

For the record, though, off the personal tip, something that needs to be said: I do not "hate" Erik Spoelstra. I raved about his potential and brought his name up on the old board before anyone. I wanted him to be the next head coach of the Miami Heat and I gave him the pass the entire year last season because it was his first year. However, seeing how he's still making the EXACT SAME mistakes, I dislike him as a head coach. Think he'd be one of the best assistant coaches in the NBA, which he was prior to promotion. Do not hate the guy by any means.

I did find this bit from the Herald interesting involving Wade / Spoelstra. I saved it one morning on my phone's browser while bored in class and forgot to post it when I got home. It's from February 8, 2010. Probably a "bad" time to bring it up, but, **** it... it's halftime and American Idol sucks.

Where can I fill out an application to try out for Golden State? They bring someone down from the D League every few games or so. Why not give it a shot? I'd love to play in that offense, boy... everyone has to green light to shoot whenever wherever for 48 minutes... it's unreal. I've seen them quite a bit this year (<3 Curry) and I've yet to see them set offense and actually run a play. Being serious.

I've literally seen Anthony Morrow shoot a three while double teamed with almost a full shot clock maybe 10-15 times this season.

GREAT WIN TONIGHT.

It took us 62 games to find the best guy to run the offense.

Carlos Arroyo. He sets better screens, than the other two on our 2-1 plays (Back pick the 2 to set Wade against the 1), he is a better passer...better medium range shooter..better P&R player.

There is something to be said for a guy that has played on really good teams for a while.

beasley is nowhere lately.

Wade as a playmaker is second only to Lebron James.

Haslem might be the most clutch big in the entire NBA.

QUE was HUGE. He is a poor man's James Posey.

In fact..this entire team is a poor man's heat championship team.
