As I stated many times in the past, it is clear that you DID NOT read any of my posts in that discussion. You just went on and on and on defending Spo at all costs.

Anyways, this team is approaching the 50 game mark under .500 -- pretty sad.

Personnel isn't all that needs changing and that is very obvious to me. Very.

 

Another MVP like first half followed by a D-League second half against Cleveland for Wade...

Hopefully we miss the playoffs. I'd rather get lottery talent. This team is destined to be swept (we suck just as much at home), and that would be embarrassing.

 

Seen a rumor somewhere where Howard might head our way.

 

I'd pay you to pay the original poster of that rumor to pay the starter of that rumor to pay who he heard it from if true.

OH! Lol... yeah, I read something about "Miami or Toronto" on RealGM earlier in the week. I'd rather not if he's not expiring. I'd rather not either way, maybe, as he'd probably require Haslem. I'd do it for James Jones, Cook, and a pick or something, but Dallas wouldn't.

We're also now 1-7 in our last 8; SWEET! I don't get how we suck so bad.

 

IDK why either...but I can tell ou what I see. JO looks old, Q looks like a bum Beas looks like we drafted him too high...this team just isnt meshing.

Getting Amare and losing Beasley is an epic failure. It puts Miami on the Atlanta Hawks caliber. Nothing more.

BTW - Adrian W. is the most trustworthy basketball source on the net.

 

HOWEVER... If I know Pat Riley this is a three way deal that includes Beasley, JON, and Jones or Cook and brings in Amare and say, maybe Caron Butler. Maybe Kirk Hinrich.

If this is a two team deal we CANNOT include JON. He's all we have left. We'll have to swing a second deal to use his expiring to get us a Caron Butler or Kirk Hinrich + Salmons, because we won't be able to use him (expiring) in the summer. Chicago is desperately trying to unload Hinrich and Salmons; they want a shot at adding a top free agent next year in the worst way. Do we help them, knowing that Wade will be their primary target? If it makes us a contender which makes Wade happy, then the answer is yes.

That's a pretty damn good team. Needs one or two pieces to win a title, though. Wonder if Chalmers can net a PF or C. Boston is offering Big Baby for D.J. Augustine, HMMM!

Might still have enough cap space to sign a Brendan Haywood in the summer, which drops Amare down to PF and Haslem coming off the bench.

 

And yes I still have the biggest man crush on Kirk Hinrich out there... he's the perfect compliment to Wade in the backcourt. It doesn't get any better unless you're talking superstar.

 

I know for a fact that Cleveland would never be willing to do a sign-and-trade deal with LeBron.

I was talking more on the lines of Bosh, Joe Johnson, Rudy Gay, etc.

We don't have anything to offer those teams via sign-and-trade without Beasley.

Still, moving Beasley for Amare is a failure unless it's a three team deal that nets us one or two more starters.

With all of the names being discussed from Miami's side, if this is a two way deal, there must be one or two more names popping up from Phoenix's side. Would not mind Barbosa; would definitely mind J-Rich. I hate Jason Richardson as a player with a passion. Absolutely.

 

So much for standing "pat" and waiting for the offseason.

Then again, LeFraud was never coming to Miami in the first place. Bosh, however, would be more than welcome.

 

I think Beasley is not long for this team one way or another. Either he's the key component in a trade for Amare now or Bosh later, or we outright sign one of those guys and trade Beasley for help elsewhere.

While I love Beasley's potential, I wonder if we wouldn't have been better off taking Mayo just from a team construction standpoint

Iggy is a pretty interesting option right now as well if we move Beasley for Amare without parting ways with JON. Philly is really trying to unload him for an expiring; I'd take Iggy + Dalembert off their hands provided we already have Amare in place.

 

I remember lots of hand-wringing before we drafted him about how he doesn't fit on this team. Sounds like the case.

its beyond obvious at this point Wade and Beasley dont go have chemistry and likely never will. Theyre not friends off the court and do not communicate well on the court. Its as if Wade has his posse on the team and Beasley has his. Hopefully if we do this trade, Amare's knees dont give out. We already have an overpaid center on bad knees that's past his prime, I'd hope we dont have to continue that trend with another. I really like Bosh and hope we can get him one way or another. He seems like a textbook Riley type player. I'll cross my fingers and hope we find a way to get him.

 

If we acquire amare I think this scenario is likely. There is zero chance he doesn't opt out. Any potential free agent must get a long term deal under the current CBA as the max numbers will only decrease.

We'd be scrambling a bit to fill out the roster, particularly at point guard, but you've got to figure plenty of older ring chasers will jump aboard.

 

i was at the rockets game tuesday and beasley made a bucket on a wade assist. when they ran back, beasley tried his hardest to give wade five. wade kept ignoring him. beasley eventually slapped him on the bicep and got into position to play d.

another thing i saw at the game, that might not get caught on camera, is the players never listen to spo. it was cracking me and my friend up. they seriously NEVER acknowledge him.
