Well Pat White racked up stats in college (I actually like White better than Tebow as a prospect...because he actually has a skill set I can see he brings. Though not as a second round pick, but that isn't his fault) as did Brad Smith, Tim Couch, so on.

He's a an extremely good college QB, but I just dont think it translates. Jack of all trades, master of none.

I wouldn't be happy drafting Tebow in any round. We have Pat White who we need to work on, don't need two of them. I still think White can be a success, just not at QB.

Things would be broken if we took Tebow at #12.

Again, I hear what you're sayin' Alex. And, again...you may be right. But, to me the big difference between Tebow and White is simply their size. White just doesn't have the size to be an NFL QB (IMHO). Whereas, I think Tebow does.

Thats very true. Tebow can take more hits, but at the same time he trades in some athletic ability for that size. We'll see.

Neither of us is an NFL GM...yet :shifty: so in the end our opinions dont count much huh

No sir. And, I believe your misquoting me, or misrepresenting what I have said. To be clear, I:

    A) Do not want to trade away any draft picks...for anyone.

    B) Do not want to draft Tim Tebow.

    C) Believe Tim Tebow will be a success in the NFL (assuming he is drafted by the right team, and utilized in the right way). Now, what that means exactly is certainly open to interpretation.

    We straight? :wink2:

Order a Tebow jersey and calmly check myself into the nearest mental facility.

Sure he can find some success. He is big and strong but I don't think it will translate to much success unless he is willing to change and I don't see success early on but it's possible.

I'm a total gator hater for sure but if he could upgrade the Dolphins I'm all for it so I don't think I'm being biased ....

We would not take him but I would be very disappointed because we have our QB of the future. I would still hate the Pat White pick more tho

I totally agree with this post except in some situations trading for other players.

Well it really wouldn't take much to pack in 15-20 lbs of lean mass on White.

It wouldn't surprise me if we took Tebow with our 2nd rd pick if he were available. And if not, I could see the Patriots taking him with the next pick. If I recall correctly Parcells likes Tebow very much. But still, kind of like Pat White last year and the opportunity cost of taking him, it would be hard to pass on a Benn or Brandon Graham given the needs of this team.

I wouldn't have a major issue with it. I don't think he should be an option, but I disliked the White pick more.

you would be okay with it wtf
all this talk about how inside linebackers arent core players
so you make a statement like this about tebow
we already have witnessed one failed experiment with a qb everyone already knew wouldnt translate well at the next level
you would be okay with that happening all over again wow
if we draft tebow at 12 the world would have to end
that would quite possibly be the dumbest dolphins pick ever
rating right up there with jj taking john avery

After the White drafting and the success of the Jets, Miami is going to be under tremendous pressure this draft. They are going to pursue players which WILL be successful, no projects. They know they LB's aren't good enough and that Gibril Wilson isn't good enough and the WR's aren't good enough and that Jason Ferguson isn't young enough and that RG needs to be settled as well as finding depth at C. Don't be shocked either if they take a RB.

There's sooooooo many holes and patches are too few. Tebow or any other QB is not getting drafted this season.

I don't know how I'd feel. I know I like him more than most. Still wouldn't want him at 12
What I do know is, I wouldn't feel as sick as I did the day we took Ted Ginn and his family.

I actually had a nightmare about this a few days ago. I've never woken up angry from a dream before, but I was mad after waking up. I was livid.

Oddly enough, in my dream we moved him to CB, not TE ... and Ross liked him so much he made him a minority owner.

I didn't say it would be at #12. IMO the only chance that we take Tebow (and it's still a very small one at best) would be in the second round or later. If we took him in the second round or later, I wouldn't be happy about it but I would be less bothered than when we took White.
