Some good lightning deals on Amazon still today, and some good deals at BestBuy.com as well. I didn't get much in terms of games this weekend (Yakuza 4, Dance Central 2, Okamiden on DS, and Dragon Quest VI on DS), but I grabbed LotR: EE, Mad Men S4, some 3D Blu-Rays, and best of all I got a Weber Genesis e-320 on Amazon for $100 off MSRP (and only for $220 out of pocket).
This is your best purchase since your PC. Speaking of, Battlefield 3 for PC is half off on Origin and Amazon today only. Not video game related per se, but I just picked up the Sennheiser HD 598 headphones for $163 + 7 shipping at Electronics-Expo. Just need to get a nice Fiio E7 + E9 DAC/amp combo and a Xonar DG sound card for my PC. And a Turtle Beach amp for my PS3. Damn you, addictive headphone and headphone accessory market!
Have either of you played Dragon Quest V? It’s arguably superior depending on what you like in your RPGs. (Dragon Quest anything is a deal at any price so it fits in this thread dammit)
Amazon's deal of the day has Dead Island down to $25 today only. http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.ht..._m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1YEPMDFZ94WZ8ZA1N06T
Not sure if anyone besides me is getting a Vita, but Amazon is doing a b2g1 free on most games (they may add more as a few get released Wednesday). Target is running the same promo on Wednesday but their in-store selection likely won't be as good. http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.ht...d_t=101&pf_rd_p=1346912522&pf_rd_i=3010556011
Lots of Ubisoft PC games on sale today only. Includes Assassin's Creed Revelations and its current multiplayer DLC.
ea games 50 percent off on their website. newer games like battlefield 3 are included in this. http://store.origin.com/store/ea/en...ge&categoryID=8832800&childCategoryID=8832800
Ninja Gaiden 3 is $5 off if you preorder at Amazon. Yes, that's a deal, because NG3 will likely be worth paying $80 for, let alone $55.
NCAA 13 preorder is up on Amazon right now for $45. It may only be on sale on 360, but I'm not 100% certain.
Every Assassin's Creed game (1, 2, Brotherhood, Revelations) plus DLC is available on Steam in a $45 bundle.
They had all kinds of deals on AC yesterday. I picked up Revelations for 19.99 on Amazon. It's still 19.99 but only the Xbox360 version. Was patiently waiting for it to hit $9.95 like Brotherhood did last year but this will do.
I think you made the right choice to go now rather than wait for the sake of an extra $10. And you absolutely must get AC3 on release. None of this six month wait stuff for THAT game.
Was ACR worth $20? I only played the 1st AC and enjoyed it. Been occupied by trying to finish Skyrim as of late and was hoping to finish Persona 3 after.
Well, now that I've paid $20 for Revelations I suspect within the next month or so there will be a sale on it for $9.95. I'm smack in the middle of Brotherhood now. I started a couple months ago but never really got going. Almost gave up on it, but stuck it out and now I'm enjoying it. Not sure about release date purchase of AC3. For the most part I really enjoy the AC games, but I never feel compelled to get them right when they come out. But if I'm all done with Revelations by then and there's a big cliffhanger, I might just have to pay full price.
You would want to play ACII and Brotherhood before moving onto Revelations I think. Back story is pretty important in these games. You might still enjoy it, but the storyline wouldn't make much sense.
I'd disagree with this a little bit. Revelations is somewhat unique for a third entry in a trilogy in the sense that it doesn't really reference what happened before it. It's about as standalone a story as there's been since AC1. You don't NEED to play 2 and Brotherhood to understand Revelations, but frankly you're going to be missing out on some of the best games of this decade if you don't. That alone is incentive enough to play.
You would know better than I since I don't even own Revelations yet. I was only basing comments on how the story flows from ACII to Brotherhood. Assumed Revelations would continue the trend.
If you have not played Fallout New Vegas, this is the best 2.99 you'll ever spend: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Fallout...496&skuId=2036106&ref=39&CJPID=1312731&loc=01
