    Suicide too.....

I have no respect for a person who kills themselves....especially a rich one who could seek the best help....

Feel bad for the family however...

Would you feel the same way if it was linked to possible effects of playing a long career in the NFL?

    Honest question. I''ll withhold judgment.

Nobody put a gun to his head and made him play.

I don't think he cared if you respected his decision or not. You have no idea what went on inside his head. We're all human beings and having all the money in the world cannot stop us from being human.

Two of my cousins have taken their own lives. One of them had a lithium imbalance. The other, I don't know why, but it would seem that he snapped when his wife left him.

In short, you don't know enough to pass judgement.

It wouldn't be the first time. Even with a gun.

I can never automatically disavow someone who commits suicide. It's not always just a 'coward's way out'. There are a lot of anatomical and/or emotional reasons many people do this. We really don't know.

I just wonder if he struggled to find himself after football. Dude kept coming back dang near 20 years.

If it truly is ruled a suicide, there has to be a brain study done.

    Why?

He has his opinion of it as do you. Nobody is obligated to be more sensitive.

Of course not. I'm not blaming anyone for his choice to play football. But blaming someone, vs. calling someone a coward are two different things. A coward makes a choice. We don't know what choices he had, or if he was even sane. I'm just saying, let's hear this one out.

Similar to that shooting recently in Fla. Let's wait before making any conclusions.

Personally I feel that everyone has the right to do whatever they want with their life/body. Very sad if it is concussion related, but if he didn't want to live anymore I can't do anything but respect the fact he had the balls and conviction to do it.

He just died so why judge what he did without knowing anything that led up to it? It's all good though. You're entitled to that opinion....

Also, along the same lines as the concussion issue, I believe steroids can mess with someone's psychological makeup as well. Not saying thats the case, but could be a factor.

With as little as we know about TBI, it can't be completely discounted either. The bottom line is nobody knows why this happened as of now.

Just out of curiosity, have you ever dealt with a concussion?

Everyone and everything does. It's just nature.

You seeing him as insensitive is just your judgement of the situation. Just saying.

This is the problem, everytime just jackass shoots himself, instantly everybody is supposed to jump on the sensitivity bandwagon and toe that line...twitter wants to make me puke right now...

Obviously the dude had problems, clearly or he wouldn't have shot himself (in the chest too ouch)...you know what else he had? exposure and resources.....

Instead of being a leader of men in the game of life, you know maybe coaching at-risk kids in SD, being visible, working on TV/radio/coaching, reaching out for help...he decides to hide out, become a mute, and cap himself...I am sorry I don't respect that...that is quitting...

There are thousands that go though what he is and worse who seek help, dont quit and live life.....

honestly Brandon Marshall could very well be one of them...
