It still looks like in some Madden 13 youtube vids i have seen, that when a player runs and turns, the player still spins on a vertical axis rather than plant the other foot before turning. I don't think they can ever fix this. Those physics animations look encouraging though.
Caught some trailers this morning. Yes: The Last of Us, Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed III, Paper Mario, Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, Ni no Kuni. Maybe: Halo 4, Far Cry 3, Dead or Alive 5. No: Rayman, Arkham City Wii, Need for Speed, Playstation All-Stars whatever, Little Big Planet Karting.
It has been a long time since I have been this excited about Madden during e3. I didn't even buy Madden 2012.
Here, take a look at this gametrailers interview. I like what they are doing with the passing game, the diff. ball trajectories, and how the receiver's icon doesn't show up until they are in a position to catch, etc. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2012-madden-nfl/731525 The physics is implemented, but I did notice that there is still an issue with gang tackling, and it seems to be 1 on 1 physics with the late player coming in being utterly useless....again. They have made noticeable progress though, and that alone is encouraging.
There are still a couple of problems with the physics. I hope they can fix it or tune it better before launch. Right now it looks like defensive players give up too early and bounce off to easily. On one play they showed during one of their demonstrations, the linebacker looked like he was going for the tackle and then for some reason he slowed down to tackle and raised his body to tackle the upper body instead of the hips. It looked so unnatural and wierd. Plus blocking still looks like patty cake, which looks even more weird during kickoffs. I think there are going to be a decent amount of problems with the physics, however it is a step in the right direction. I will take tweaks for physics over tweaks for animations anyday. Well I guess they have to do both because it isn't a 100% physics engine.
They discuss balance and tackling in this video. Could indeed be too many missed tackles for now, but it is a WIP. Hopefully they address that.
That is the video I was talking about. The tackle of number 56 at 3:26 is the one I was mentioning. In real life, #56 would drive through him and tackle him through his hips. Plus on the sweep, #41 had his arms in the wrong spot. I know it is nickpicking, however I do think they need to fix those little things. The tackle at 3:26 looks even more weird in full speed. Still, a huge upgrade over previous maddens. Plus it comes out on my birthday.

If you're talking about arab looking terrorists wielding AKs in what is supposed to be a fantasy setting, then yeah I agree. That seemed way out of place.
I mean everything. Not that S-E ever uses tech demos as an indication of where they're going in terms of content, but man, that's pretty halfassed.
