At launch, yes. It was buggy on every platform. But it's since been (repeatedly) patched and is 100% playable.
Hopefully you guys catch this before the time runs out in 40 hours. Get 8 games for under $10. Including Braid, Bastion, Psychonauts, Super Meat Boy and LIMBO. All you have to do is donate more than the average which is currently $8.43. http://www.humblebundle.com/
Best Steam deal so far? Ys: The Oath in Felghana for $5. Edit: the 8 hour deal on Saints Row: The Third for $12.50 is nearly as good.
So mad that I was at work when this was up. I hope they put the Assassin's Creed Bundle up for sale soon. Also, heard I missed the Complete Half-Life series for 10 bucks.
You missed a LOT of deals from the sound of it. I picked up all of the Alan Wake content for about $10. You have to check Steam three times a day, morning/afternoon/night, to see all the deals.
I remember them well. Ugh. The AC Pack is available. $50 for the entire series and all of the AC Revelations DLC. And Ys: Origins is available at $8 for the next 4 hours.
Steam summer sales end tonight. Some available deals: Bastion $3.74 Splinter Cell Conviction $5 Bioshock $5 Just Cause 2 $3.74 ArmA 2 Combined Ops $17.99 Batman Arkham City $10.19 Batman Arkham franchise $24.99 Prince of Persia $2.49 Assassin's Creed Revelations $13.59 Portal 2 $5 Assassin's Creed pack $33.09 IMO, the best deals here are the AC pack, Just Cause 2, Arkham City franchise, and Portal 2.
I just walked out of best buy with Dragon Age II and AC Revelations for $10 each. They have some other deals in the store too like Metroid Prime for Wii for $5.
http://slickdeals.net/permadeal/779...ylum-game-of-the-year-edition-ps3-or-xbox-360 Never played it before. Not passing this up.
Some nice sales on games worth playing here. Radiant Historia and the Ico/SOTC Collection in particular are worth playing.
Plenty of good pre-orders (including Borderlands 2, Forza Horizon, Assassin's Creed 3, CoD BlOps2, etc) available at MicrosoftStore.com for MSRP but with free standard UPS shipping, with free 1600 Microsoft Points, and a $10 coupon good towards your next Microsoft Store purchase. http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/list/parentCategoryID.50606600/categoryID.50789900 So it's like getting $80 value (not counting the coupon) for ~$60.
For me it's not really being a cheapskate. I have such limited time to play games that I have to prioritize. Assassins Creed just takes a backseat to some other games. Picking it up late much cheaper is just a fringe benefit of that. I know putting AC games on lower priority is considered blasphemy on your part.
AC3 for PS3 or 360 is $35 at Best Buy. XBL 3-month gold card for $11 Gamestop's Black Friday deals are up And Steam is having sales through November 26. Because it's freaking Steam. (Borderlands 2 25% off!) Amazon has a bunch of sales too, like 75% all Assassin's Creed games except 3. Here's a nice list of some Steam and Amazon sales.
Microsoft Store has some great deals, although AC3 is sold out already. http://www.microsoftstore.com/store...&ClickID=awpt5szrl9o9zlonsvpaoyltpwyp5ant0llr Forza Horizon at that price is a steal.
Just picked up dishonored on amazon for the $25 and arkham city goty edition also on amazon for 19.99
You'll enjoy that. Such a fun game. And i give gearbox props for the infinite amount of pop culture references and jokes in there as well
My favorite was Solitaire in Caustic Caverns.. also the Loggins/too close for missiles quest and "There's always money in the newsstand"
Game is same price on amazon, and it's $19.99 with the season pass included. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A9XQ83Q?t=slicinc-20&tag=slicinc-20
