Ouch, that looks rough. Especially our QB's, and our FS. Got to love the dropoff from Ginn to Hagan. Im surprised Jake Long is only an 86. Hopefully the fix up the player progression this year, seemed last year it was nearly impossible for your guys to get better no matter how good of a season you had with them. Nice find though, i'm surprised something like this is out this early.
thats better than i would think... giving shawn murphy a 76? really? Mauia with n 89 is surprising too... not bad
How the hell is Parmele a 76? Mauia 89? Anthony Fasano the same rating as Ted Ginn? & since the QB's are so even, guess I'll be starting Chad Henne from week one.
Also, Langord seems really low or is it just me? Looks like I'll be starting Merling over Roth even tho I planned to anyway lol.
miami is 67 overall, so is atlanta.....................for other players rating and team overall, go here http://www.pastapadre.com/2645/madden-09-player-and-team-ratings
I wonder if they have us playing a 4-3 or a 3-4 as our base now? In years past it has always defaulted to a 4-3 and you have to go in and change it. So annoying...
The roster looks good except for quarterback but it has been that way for almost a decade now and if they give Miami a 3-4 scheme I could see myself doing really well with them online. After looking at the roster I don't understand how that equals out to being a 67 team overall rating.
Another year, another absolute travesty of a Madden roster. Who in the hell comes up with these numbers, and what games were they (not) watching?
does Regan Mauia really garner a 89 overall?!?! Lmao I guess they saw him running through the wall and said damn this kid is a beast.
Id bet the farm its a 4-3. usually the starting line-up lists the positions byt the defense you're running. they had 3-4 personnel last year, and this year they list the positions in a 4-3 setting. you never know, they could change it, but as of now, its def. a 4-3.
Not really, the OL and RB's are probably the two most talented spots on this team. I think we do have the potential for a really good OL and as individuals I think there is certainly proof of their ability. Carey successfully held down the LT and may have been our best player after Ronnie went down. Smiley and Satele are just mean cusses and you love that in a OL. The #1 pick in the draft usually gets a high rating though his pass blocking concerns me. Murphy getting a 76 isnt as crazy as it sounds as he was a top 5 guard I believe. So even though he was a 4th round pick guards usually dont start going until the early to mid 2nd. Its just not a priority position though I have always believed otherwise.
Nope. Still around. Haven't heard anything from the coaching staff or front office about him either, which means he's safe as long as he produces in training camp. Mauia has the size Parcells loves, so of course the double standard is being trotted out.
QB http://www.sportsgamer.com/content/1603/madden-09-quarterback-ratings/ RB http://www.sportsgamer.com/content/1604/madden-09-running-back-ratings/
It's probably their run blocking that brings in the high numbers. Miami's pass blocking was horrendous last year, but their run blocking was adequate. I think Brown made them look a lot better than they really were.
Flacco was an early pick thats why. Typically first rounders have higher overalls. As for Brohm, I could understand your case because he was only a couple picks earlier than Henne but I think he is better than a second round grade. Still trying to figure out what changed from last year to this year to make his value drop.
There's just way too many inconsistencies in these ratings. Tom Brady suddenly has the strongest arm in the league, even stronger than some of the All-Time greats (including Favre, who used to break fingers with his throws).
