Just wondering. After watching him for years I've come to the conclusion that he's only comfortable doing 3 things: Quick Screens, quick passes (slants, short comebacks, fade routes in the red zone) and the qb option run. Any passes beyond 15 yards is a toss up. His deep ball is bad. His pocket presence.....what pocket presence? His read progression is slow and hasn't improved. Basically what I'm saying is that Tannehill is barely average and will probably never lead a team to the playoffs. He does have flashes here and there but for every good series he has he usually goes a full quarter without doing much. How much longer before your management realizes this and moves on? How much longer before the fan base completely turns on him?

Never really been impressed by him, hes an average QB at best. For me the silver lining with Tannehill is that hes not total trash, its not like hes fumbling 5 or 6 times a game, or throwing a guaranteed pick-6 every Sunday. I still think its possible to build a playoff worthy offensive with him, just not sure if it will ever happen.

Yawn. Same boring topics in the mains. Ask Kenny Stills if his deep ball is bad. It's been explained a hundred times that it's pretty much the average of the league. But hey, opinions trump facts.

12 years 17 QBs since the end of Marino and start of Tannehill, in them 12 years there have been zero 4k yard years and one 20 TD season. Tannehill has surpassed that in his last two seasons with a better than 2:1 TD/INT ratio, at worse he guarantees 20 TDs a season with no fear of tossing up a greater number of INTs so forgive me if I for one am not sick of him yet. At least wait till he has a stinker before starting a thread like this.

I am no Tannehill fan, I have not been impressed with him at all. But hears the thing he is the best Miami has at this point, what other option do we really have for this season? The things I dont like about Tannehill is he lacks pocket presence and hardly ever looks off his receiver. Despite my dislike for Tannehill I hope he goes out there and proves us all wrong and if he doesnt and turns in just another average season I will will still root for him and the Phins because I bleed Aqua and Orange, opps I mean Teal and Orange. By the Way Tannehill looked great against Dallas how many potential TDs were dropped in the end zone?

2013 called and they want their thread back.

While I wont through skewed stats at you, I will say that he is finally with a competent regime and we should see some leaps made in 16 in regards to some of those gripes.

He is our QB for this season and him along with this fanbase should treat 2016 under Gase as an "All in".

Because our team can't afford to be so close to finally having a franchise QB then be forced to move on next season. And if he looks like he has in the past? Thats what is going to happen.

He looked fantastic Friday night, stood tall in the pocket, looked comfortable and made some very nice throws.

His career is on the line and so is our franchise.

I don't get sick of players. I get sick of not winning. IF Tannehill is the best QB we have (and I think right now, he def is) then he has to be our guy. I felt great about him after the last game of 2015.

I think this team could be in for a rough start. It would not surprise me in the least to be 1-3. But as Culliver comes back from injury, as X Howard gets coached up a bit, as the offense starts to find its identity, the oline gels, etc, etc, this team could get it together. Might it still be a tough year? Possibly. But if we can get the DBs executing, the Offense figuring out what they are, we will be set to be much better in the future.

As for Tannehill, the coaches/FO will determine if he is the answer. If they deem him the guy, then hes the guy I will cheer for on Sunday. Ive been a Fins fan long before RT and I will be one long after him (God willing). So no, I am not sick of the Dolphins. Win, lose, or draw (and its been very little winning the past 15 years or so) I'll still be here hoping and rooting for them to do well.

From what I have seen over the last two years is that Tannehill is doing his job. It's the defense, or the offensive line that hasn't been doing their job. You can't put the teams failures on just one person, we've beat this topic to death with Tannehill and it still continues to get beaten over and over again. I think this year (year five) will be his best season to date. That doesn't mean we will make the playoffs nor does it mean that the defense will be great. But for Tannehill...Individually...this will probably be his best season. He looks like he has taken a step further from what I have seen so far.

Preseason , new coach, new plays...it's not going to look like a bed or roses right away. I saw a lot of positive from him though. The long ball which he has struggled with looked good. His decision making looked better....its preseason.

I have never been a big Tannehill supporter because I just don't see him as the QB who will ever lead this team to the playoffs and certainly not to the Super Bowl.

Yet at at this time he is the best option on the team at the QB position and he certainly isn't the main problem with this team. The defense is the real issue with this team and the reason I feel the Dolphins will be fortunate if they win six games this year.

The secondary and the LB's can't even be listed as being average. These units are below average and I believe the DL is vastly overrated. The Dolphins offense is going to have to score 30 points a game to even have a chance to win and I just don't know if they will be up to scoring that many in most of their games.

I suspect Tannehill will be long gone before the Dolphins become a legitimate playoff contender. Because it is going to take several years to rebuild this defense. The DL will need to be rebuild with younger players over the next few years and the LB's
and secondary will need to be revamped with better players.

As bad as it appears this defense could be this year. It will probably be 2019 before the Dolphins are a real factor in the AFC. By then, I suspect many of the players on this team, including Tannehill will no longer be on the roster and Tannebaum will no longer be running the Dolphins front office.

The team has actually regressed under Tannebaums leadership and hopefully Ross will realize this before Tannebaum leaves the team in worst shape than he left the Jets before he was fired.

Yeah. This is a total poseur from another fanbase. Nah, we're not sick of Thill. We're tired of not winning.

Also hoping he gets a little less Henne-esque with his emotions now that he;s been given full control of the offense. The only worse than not making that critical 1st down was watching him hang his head and just Eeyore his way back to the sideline. I want to see some fury and see some prolonged drives resulting in TD's.

I'd definitely like to see him and the offense be a little more quick strike. In prior years, even when we'd score, it'd take forever and burn a boatload of clock.

RT had a very good night against Dallas.
    1) he cannot be held responsible for catchable balls that are simply dropped by a receiver. there were many. he was on target & standing tall, the receivers dropped the ball. 2) also thought we turned the corner with Kenny Stills. this is a very big deal. 3) we have the talent on the offensive line. now, they need to develop chemistry & timing. the choreography has to be perfected under fire. 4) bring Dion into the LB corp & things will improve the first game he plays along side Alonzo. I guarantee it. 5) wide-nine defense needs fixing or it should be abandoned 6) still hopeful awaiting the next preseason game

The fact that we have a Bills troll is just adorable. The last time they even made the playoffs my parents yelled at me for checking football stats on the Internet because being on the Internet prevented land line phone calls from coming in. That always annoyed me, but I got over it by playing some N64 while listening to my Now 5 cd. Bills fans could drive to games in brand new Oldsmobiles because those were still made. Bill Clinton was president still.
