The Dolphins announced that third-round wide receiver Leonte Carroo and seventh-round tight end Thomas Duarte have agreed to four-year deals with the team. Carroo is the latest addition to a receiving corps that has been remade since the end of the 2013 season. Jarvis Landry, DeVante Parker and Kenny Stills have all joined the team since then and Miami drafted Carroo and Jakeem Grant this season. Duarte could factor into the receiving mix as well at some point after playing as something of a wide receiver/tight end hybrid at UCLA. With Carroo and Duarte under contract, the Dolphins only have third-round running back Kenyan Drake left to sign from their draft class.
The whole offense has been remade since then. Only Pouncey,Tannehill, and Dion sims remain from the Ireland era. * i'm not sure either of the D.Thomas' even make the team. I think we've replaced finesse/speed with power/size, and then went out and got new finesse/speed to back that up. Ajayi,Parker are the power that we've lacked with Miller,Wallace, etc. Especially concerning our redzone problems. Carroo is much like Matthews and Duarte, dare I say, an Egnew clone. Drake,Stills, & Grant ensure we don't lack burner speed, open field abilities. Concerning WRs, The writing is on the wall for Hazel, and Whalen. No chance, not with Drake being the necessary ST demon. I don't know maybe they 'reverse-McCluster' Jakeem Grant and label him a RB, fit Hazel. But they wouldn't carry only D.Williams and/or Drake and now Grant behind Ajayi. Queue up, Daniel Thomas.
If we can just get Kenyan Drake to turn off his XBOX they'll wrap this offseason up. http://www.miamidolphins.com/news/a...-Victory/fe8dc872-192b-49b5-b6d9-85ded83faeb9
I love that he won the Madden Challenge at the rookie symposium. Also, that he resembles Warrick Dunn, retired and underrated Bucs running back.
