I see glimpses of a single player campaign in that trailer and I don't like it. At all. DICE is terrible at campaigns. Beyond that, the setting is fine, and it looks like multiplayer will function just like BF4. Trench warfare is obviously not fun as a multiplayer game. Will be interesting to see actual multiplayer footage. I still feel like the modern day has not been fully and correctly explored, but I guess marketing dictates they do something different. I guess this is where ArmA and Squad and others step in to fill the contemporary void.
Looks amazeballs. Good analysis:
Cinematics look cool and all, but I gotta see gameplay. I am happy with WW1 setting. Between that and Battalion 1944 I am glad there are World War Era shooters being brought back.
I like the setting as well but I they're gonna take it over the top. You can see that with some of the flame throwers and armor sets, horses, etc. Trailer looks damn good though, Dice always knew how to make an awesome trailer. Also, I'll leave this here :shifty2: Wondering if this makes my 4 GB 770 Classified obsolete.
The armor sets bug me. Does DICE not understand that suits of armor were obsoleted by the firearm, which could shoot through the metal? If the suit of armor is some Battlefront-like Hero spawn, it's going to cause so much rage.
Yeah man, I wonder how much influence BF will have on BF1. Random power ups, hero pick ups, etc. have no place in the BF franchise in my opinion.
