Tom Brady wrote a short letter to fans recently. For whatever other knocks there are against him, it's little things like this and the story that broke about how we rewarded 2nd team/camp secondaries for interceptions, that help a franchise develop and maintain a certain culture of, and passion for, success. Not ever team or player might think of doing this sort of thing, but it shows a type of leadership that will be a big benefit to a franchise. Nice classy action by Brady, it will no doubt be appreciated by Pats fans. BleacherReport Link
If he was classy he would have cooperated with the NFL and would have got a slap on the wrist. Screw him...... Let's go, I want these Deflategate appeals to continue tomorrow not March, it is ridiculous..... Tom wasn't so terrific when that PSI was proper eh?
Wait, he didn't put on lipstick and plant a kiss on the corner of that letter. This is a fake. That's not an authentic Brady.
When I first got that letter, I was really pumped but it just came across flat and now I feel more deflated then I did when the Broncos won.
Brady might be a lot of things but all lip service? Hardly. Look, I don't like the Pats. But I can at least recognise Brady's talent. Deflategate aside, he's a very talented QB and he's a leader on his team.
Hopefully he sends another letter like this next year only its sooner, like after we win the division and they are home for the playoffs Hey it can happen
He's a pretty stand up guy, hate to admit it. Having said that, he niece and nephew (one he gave the TD in the superbowl to last year) go to school with my two kids and live within walking distance of us and I find it hard to completely like them even though they are nice kids.
You can't be the centerpiece on the cheatingest team in the league and be a standup guy. He's nice to the fans (who constantly defend his cheating ways).
Agreed. Watching his press conference from ca. twelve months ago makes it impossible to call him a standup guy imo.
not a black and white issue. IMO, he's got a coach that excels at cheating and encourages/enables his players to do the same.
Put it this way.. A couple days before the Denver game ESPN admitted during one of their drool fests that they use and abuse illegal WR picks and get away with it more then any other team. Then again this same panel of experts said that Denver knew they were going to do nothing but pass and they couldnt stop them.... Basically as long as they win cheating is fine.
11-0 w/both Gronk and Edelman. 1-4 w/o one or both. His "talent" is completely derived from stellar play around him. Ultimate role-player...not all-time elite. He should write a letter to ESPN apologizing for victimizing them of a thousand *******s.
