With the firing of Philbin the Dolphins will come out re energized after the bye and they will win several games in a row to get back in the mix. I believe this team can do it. Coaching was the problem. I see players quit under Philbin. Now with the new coach your players will play hard for him. I hope Miami turns it around. Still early yet for my Pack. We're banged up and need the bye week to get here.
Thanks man. Really an unknown right now. If we can get a little healthier and play closer to our potential, then we should take the next two against poor teams and get back to .500. At that point, we'll see. If we stumble and look ugly again, it'll be a sign of a LONG year. Either way, Philbin is gone, and that's step one.
Take care of the little things (discipline), and the big things (wins) will take care of themselves. Period. If DC can instill some serious discipline aside from cleaning up trash, it will pay off in spades. Caveat: The O and D can't keep up the play-calling they have over the first 4 weeks...else it all remains the same.
You guys had Rodgers, Manning and Stafford beat last year. Coach Philbin was the reason for the loss.
WTF is a Packers fan doing on a Dolphins forum? You have any ties to the Dolphins or anyone here at all?
I read the title and thought this was a thread to those "saying bye" to the team this week: Joe Philbin, Kevin Coyle......
Only getting rid of Philbin and not changing the game plan on both sides of the ball won't help much. Dan Campbell's intensity won't do enough to help them string some wins together. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I just want a competitive team. One that occasionally gets a sack and maybe a stop on 3rd and 12. I'm not asking much. I will say that with Albert back, grimes back, wake hopefully at 100%, sims back, our team will look a lot better just by having the $30+ million worth of salary cap back on the field.
Wake got after the QB a good part of last year, and I don't think the defensive scheme is different this year, but he sure is. I don't understand how Wake can be completely ineffective through four games and no one has criticizing Philbin for keeping him as the starting LDE. Who's his backup? Shelby? I think CK made one post suggesting Wake should lose some reps but I've not heard any talk about whether an injured Wake is better than his backup. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Its been one of many problems. If he's too hurt to be effective, he shouldn't be out there. Hopefully the rest gives him time to get closer to being the Wake we've known for years the rest of the season.
