I wanna say...believe in your ways, believe in exactly what you told us at your presser, I trust you, so if you deem any of them not up to par as to what you think is the right level of intensity in practice and in games, then please bench their sorry ***, or ask the front office to trade them for draft picks.. Your are the type of coach some of us have wanted for a long time, we know you are going to be on the job training, so we'll take that into account, but don't let anyone else from now moving forward tell you what they think you should do, go 100 percent Dan mother bleepin Cambell. good luck Coach..kick some ***.
I wanna say that I have a renewed optimism for this team. I was still planning on going to every game if Philbin/coyle/any combination was retained, but I expect to see a little extra fight now. Defense better defend, smashmouth, penalties(with others overlooked), rip their ****ing heads off!!! Suh awaken!!!!
can you imagine what dan cambell is thinking about right now, lol,..on a serious note, he needs some sort of leverage, its going to be extra hard getting all these guys to buy in the whole season with no position of real power.
He's motivated I will tell you that. I mean, he is fighting for this opportunity and I have to believe hes going to do everything in his power to stay head coach of this team.
Do your best to save face out there, as for what Philbin taught you, leave the wrappers on the ground, and don't call Mike Sherman for any "how to" tips. Feel free to call Parcells, but limit his applicable expertise to coaching aspects only, and disregard any input on staff referrals.
I certainly hope he has success and I realize he had never had this type of responsibility before. So I will be happy to give him the benefit of the doubt for the time being. I stated on this forum after he was hired that while I don't see this as a playoff team this year. What I want to see with Campbell as the HC is a team that shows improvement as the season goes along and a team that is ready to play from the beginning of the game to the final whistle. There will be time over the next 12 games to determine if he should just be an interim head coach or if he should be given a chance to be the permanent head coach beginning next season. While I wish him nothing but the best of luck. My biggest concern is that he is left with the coaching staff Philbin hired. I don't see this as a competent staff and this may be the biggest issue he has to deal with over the coming weeks. While he was given the power to fire any coach on his staff. The problem he faces is that it is nearly impossible to hire replacement coaches during the middle of a season. Hopefully Campbell can get more out of the players and the coaches now that he is the HMFIC.
I think you're mistaken...he was told by Ross to fire whoever he felt needed firing. That's real power.
Kick these OLinemen and DLinemen's f***ing *** until they do their damn job. And hold your staff accountable when they F up just like you would a player.
True that. How often do you get to see a positions coach bumped up to a HC in a 1/4 season? This is a chance of a lifetime for him. That's another big Pro for why he may be able to turn the ship around... he wants it.
