Miami Dolphins working to improve time efficiency on offense http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/nfl/miami-dolphins/article32560536.html Do you think we can play faster and more efficient on offense in Lazor's 2nd year with the team?
Yes please! Too often it seems like Tannehill doesnt push the pace of the offense, especially when getting lined up or huddled in a two minute offense. The lack of urgency is frustrating to watch at times. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
And Inlike that the article points out that its about more than just the playclock! Its about tempo and all the things that affects. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Agreed. And while its on ALL players to sense that urgency and act accordingly, particularly in 2 minute offense or last minute drives, its incumbent on the QB, IMO, to drive it. That's one of the few knocks I have on RT. He's too cool, at times. Hype that schit up, bark at the guys, get 'em lined up and the ball snapped without giving away precious ticks. My take is that it will come with more confidence and experience in this system. I expect to see a noticeable improvement this year.
It is important to note that both the QB and the center have to be efficient for the offense to push the pace. Clearly, the QB is the most important player for dictating pace, but the center plays a key role.
