Will Davis is the guy that runs into the back of Jason Trusnik on this play. Jimmy Wilson with the miss...#NeverForget
Will Davis can want, all he wants to... At this point, I've seen enough of him ball hawking in training camp, only to be completely lost in NFL games. Personally, I'm more interested in what the new blood (McCain and Lippett) have to offer in the long term. Frankly, I wouldn't give Davis a roster spot, let alone a starting job.
agreed. Davis needs to earn a spot on the roster, let alone worry about a starting spot. I could see him being the odd man out come beginning of September.
Hated that pick from day 1....every time the Ginger trades up for a player the guy ends up being a bust lmao.
Jimmy fu&6in wilson...I cant tell you how many times I saw him do that sh^%...he literally could not tackle a moving target..one of the worst tacklers I've ever seen put on a uni...he used to hit people in college and they would go down, not at this level.
Well, I wanna marry Scarlett Johansson soon, Will Davis and I are both about to be very disappointed. But seriously it shows that even though it's fun to pay attention to mini camps and OTA's, we can't really take everything that happens as predicative of results on Sundays. I was always really excited about hearing all of his picks thinking he'd be our next Surtain or Madison. Hopefully Lippett turns the ballhawking practices into results on Sundays, although I can't honestly say I've seen Lippett play much and when I have he was playing WR so I have no basis for comparison.
there isn't enough tape for anyone to know about Lippett at corner..its a hell of a pick for an evaluator and if he nails it, it will really speak to the level of talent from the evaluator..To be able to project athleticism and movement into another position and it turn out a success is pretty damn cool..
With the girl in your Avatar and you want to marry Scarlett Johansson? I think you have already done better than Scarlett.
http://www.mlive.com/spartans/index.ssf/2015/05/michigan_states_tony_lippett_l.html I have no idea why so many people doubt what Coach Mark Dantonio said about Lippett. Dantonio is not an over emotional loud mouth coach like Rex Ryan who just blurts out crap left and right. If Dantonio says Lippett is just as good as Chris Gamble was,(Dantonio coached him at OSU) then he probably is. (Gamble was a 1st round pick out of Ohio State about a dozen years ago. He had an outstanding NFL career.) Keep in mind that Lippett is a brilliant kid who had excellent grades in school and was known for impeccable character, a strong work ethic, and remarkable leadership qualities. He may just be ready for prime time sooner rather than later. Forget Will Davis; just another Ireland debacle.
Because he plays great in OTA's, when he is running around in shorts and doesn't have to hit anyone, Davis would probably be an effective starter on a flag football team. As far as being a starting CB in the NFL is concerned. Davis just hasn't shown anything over the past two seasons to make me believe he could ever be a starting CB in the NFL. I agree with the comments which state Davis needs to be worried about making the roster this coming season. I think it is far more likely he is cut in training camp than he becomes a starting CB for the Dolphins next season.
quit padding his resume'. He'll wind up with a high ranking position in politics with a track record like that. LB'sFinest/Gordon 2016
Totally agree J-Dub...I guess I somewhat feel like a jilted school girl, I bought into all the hype about him in previous years' practices, just to be totally let down with his actual, in-game play. I was glad to see Jimmy Wilson go, and I'll be almost as glad to see Davis roll on.
