Looks like he might just be a stud. Working a pro bowl corner is no easy task. Keep hating on the guy.
Not a Parker hater at all. I actually LOVED our draft and think he's a bonafide stud. But people are over reacting to this practice positively and negatively.
Parker or Gordon were the right two choices, I talked about the kid from Louisville three years ago in glowing terms, when I looked real close this offseason I said I would be stoked if he or Gordon were the picks ..I think when you have this type of body wrapped in some incredible hand/eye/feet coordination, position specific coordination, you have a player who was born to play the position, a natural if you will.
Loved the pick before and after the draft, but let's not get carried away yet. Let's see him do it during a game.
i enjoy the enthusiasm but, he's in shorts and a t shirt..... he also has like a 36 inch height advantage on grimes...
LMAO at OTA smack talk about a rookie. Good lord...... I think it's fair to say were all on the same team and hope that this guy turns out to be really good. That said, you're not going to be able to tell either way just yet so I'd tone it down.
Thrilled with early reports. Doesn't change the concerns I had with his inability to separate. Fortunately though, he can play ridiculously well without separation, so there ya go.
hes not Fin, I saw the catch everyone in the media was talking about, def not full speed...plus like I've said before, he loathes practice..and knows his body very well, he's not gonna jeopardize going full out in a practice like this..
The reason there are doubts about Parker are not to do with his ability to make spectacular plays. No one denies he has tremendous athletic ability. The doubts are to do with his consistency and technique. Can he convert 3rd and 7, or will he end up a yard short because his pre snap look tipped off the CB as to what route he was running? Will he fail to get open on a deep route because he doesn't sell the stem of the route? Will the corner be able to cover him one step closer because he doesn't run his route crisply? The doubts about Parker aren't about the things he does, it's about the things he hasn't done consistently. The criticism of Parker was that he leaves yards and receptions on the field because he relies on his athletic ability over sound technique.
I haven't seen any Parker haters.. including this forum. Everyone loved our 1st pick. Some even predicted we would/should trade up for him but fell down just perfectly. He was(and is) great fit for our team also BPA in the board. It's no brainer man.
Let's REALLY dial back the "hater" talk, shall we? What's the point of this thread other than to attack people? How about just letting those people come around to the player based on his performance and become excited about how he's looking?

Not another hate thread..How ridiculous..before the draft lots of discussions on who and why...once a Dolphin..our picks get our support, so I hope this thread goes nitey, nite real quick !
there some folks that will have some splaining to do if the kids the real deal, which I believe he is...some talking 2nd or 3rd round pick talent was a miss evaluation.
Not me had this signature since day one! however is there some post about what happened I cant find where Parker was a standout yesterday? OP just said hahaha haters with no context!
I'm not seeing any bizarrely over-the-top criticism of Parker's college game in that thread, everything seems pretty legitimate and fair. You have to remember the circumstances of the thread too, I think posters used it as an outlet to post concerns over a player that was being mocked to us left and right, instead of outright answering the question. If people stuck to the route of the question asked, discussion would have been disconnected and all over the place, instead of what actually went down.
Found it I think: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...parker-draws-rave-reviews-for-early-ota-work/
It is ridiculous to call us haters simply because he was not our first choice for the Dolphins. Personally I have no issue with him being the pick, but I was hoping Gurley would still be on the board or the Dolphins would take an offensive lineman or a CB. I think Gurley was the best offensive player in the draft and he will end up having a HOF career. Unfortuntely he was drafted before the Dolphins had a chance to pick. I also thought the OL and CB positions were bigger needs than another WR. All that being stated. I think Parker will be an asset to the Dolphins and could turn into a top flight WR over the next few years. To assume we hated the Parker pick, just because he wasn't our first choice makes you look like the real hater on this forum.
I am talking to the ones that did. The title of the thread was what would be you're first round nightmare. Some posters said Parker. If you did not then this thread is not directed towards you. If you thought the pick was a "nightmare" because again that was the title then yes this thread is for you.
Let's pretend there is a room of 100 that all of us posters are in. Now in that room there is a small group spewing garbage about Parker. Well I'm simply calling out that small group. If you were one of the other 95 please stop taking offense to this post. Stop arguing and saying that you were not against the pick cause I'm not talking to you. I am simply talking to the small group of 5. Major face palm.
I never posted in that "draft nightmare" thread, but I still see this as a hateful and pointless thread. I usually just avoid ridiculous threads, but a hate thread hurts the site. I hope the thread is deleted. If somebody wants to discuss and/or project how Parker is or will do, that's great. But this thread is not focused on that. It's basically just sticking out your tongue at people you didn't agree with.
Let's pretend there's a room of 100 ThePhins posters. Now in that room there's 1 individual anointing a rookie as a dominant force in the league despite never having taken a live NFL snap... and then telling others to eat crow for it. Imagine the other 99's reactions to such obnoxious irrationalism.
Kudos for that. I do know the forum wasn't that high on Parker because in the Club level draft thread, I asked pre-draft why everyone was ranking Amari/White and then skipping right over Parker to other WRs. I got my answers (inability to separate was the biggest). Definitely wasn't a forum favorite like in the past (Tavon Austin, Stedman Bailey, etc.)
EDIT: Nevermind. You seem to have admitted your mistake. Again I reiterate, that kind of behavior is for finheaven. This is a different place and I think the admins work very hard to instill a different culture.
I was not sure on Parker because of his injury. and the highlights I saw of him were catching balls that Tannehill doesn't throw. It will be interesting.
