Do you like Castlevania? Yes, yes you do. Konami, however, does not. They do not care. One might say they do not sow. What can one do about this?

    Kickstart a *****.

Development is set to be done by Inti Creates, developer of Mega Man Zero 1-4, ZX and ZXA, and Mega Man 9 and 10. Yes, the guys who make Mega Man are going to make a friggin' [strike]Castle[/strike]vania game. I repeat: THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE MEGA MAN GAMES ARE GOING TO MAKE A TOTALLY-NOT-DON'T-SUE-ME-VANIA GAME.

You may proceed to throw money at your monitor.

    You're welcome.

55 hours left to go. Thus far they've done pretty well, but there are some really cool stretch goals they are working on.

    Playing cooperatively online sounds awesome.

This game blew its original goals out of the water. They hit $3 million in a couple of days. They had to invent stretch goals because they were making so much money and blew past the originals.

So, between this and Mighty No. 9, it's safe to say the attitude that no one wants these types of games anymore is WRONG.

Awesome. Game developers need to realize how much so many of us still appreciate a well thought out platform game. Love that this will be on WiiU.

The Kickstarter project is now closed.

    Original goal: $500,000.
    Final tally: $5,500,000.

But Capcom and Konami think platformers don't make money.
