    Lets get it!!!!

Not ashamed to admit I am a diehard stonecold bandwagon Islander fan right now.....that's being said I hope every series goes 7 games and they score in the final minute of every game because our brother Vinny is an incredible follow on Twitter. The dude teeters on insanity every night it has turned into must watch/follow/look entertainment.....

So with that being said Lets Go Islanders!!!

well you got your wish. game 7 against a team we do historically well against in the playoffs. i am nervous as hell but strangely confident. this is a good team and has been for the last three years. but its time to become a winning team and this game could be the launchpad. we win this i think we beat the rangers and then who knows...nassau coliseum fans deserve it, the second oldest stadium in the nhl deserves it. will these young guys produce the fitting end to the island story? next 27 hours are going to be brutal waiting to see

Man, I hope my Isles win tonight but if we lose to the Rags in a playoff series I dont know if I could handle that. That would be as bad as losing a playoff game to the Jets. My head might explode. Winning on the other hand would be gold. Gotta win tonight to have that opportunity.

Curious to see which D will be available on our perilously thin blueline tonight. I hope Reinhart is in there.

Well that was a kick to the nads. Boik was right. The injuries to the defense caught up to us. They were running on empty last night

Caps deserved it, they outplayed them last night.....the puck was constantly in the Islander zone....

That and Capuano had to play very conservatively. We were missing Hamonic (all series but still our best defensive D), Visnovsky, DeHaan....so 3 of our top 6. Donavan and Mayfield, both of whom barely played in the NHL this year (but who could be a decent 5/6 pair for a lot of teams) played reasonably well.

2 things annoyed me about that game....
    1. Watch the goal by Ward. Mike Bossy caught this during the 2nd intermission...about 2 seconds before he whacks the puck in the net he whacks Boychuk across the face with the stick which is why he was uncovered. No penalty.
    2. Hickey got boarded by Ovechkin during the second period about 2 minutes before that goal by Ward. Hickey clearly had space between he and the boards. Ovechkin could clearly see his number. It was the very definition of boarding. No penalty

Clearly the Isles are an ascending team thats going to get better. I still hope Washington beats the Rags (they wont though).

Ovi played like a punk all series, that was ABSOLUTELY boarding.....

Islanders have one of the youngest teams in the NHL, they need a scorer to go along with JT....

It's game 7 of the NHL playoffs. Hockey is the last holdout of old school rules. The refs made it obvious in the first period that the whistles were staying in the pockets and tje players were going to decide it. Lesson learned for the isles.....what gets called in the regular season doesn't in the playoffs. Hopefully they play a bit dirtier next year

Strome or Okposo needed to give more offense. We also have DalColle and josh ho sang on the way who were both first round picks one of which were top 5. Offense and defense will be good going forward. It's actually goalie that worries me most. Bailey played well this series which was nice ( met him today for 3rd time...pretty much all the islanders live within a 10 mile radius of the two stores I work out of but man he was ticked today lol).

Which is stupid. Hockey has been trying for years to get the clutching and grabbing and gooning it up out of the game. So they let him happen when the most people are watching. So stupid. Only hockey seems to have a different set of rules in the playoffs.
