Duron Carter is Cris Carter's kid.

This yr's "hot" prospect was Delvin Breaux, a Cb who was signed by the saints.

Now, 2016, recall the name Alex Bazzie, lighter player, great great burst.

I'm really hoping Rakeem Cato gets a shot up there. Think he can really excel.

Hard to say CK, the way that league works is a mix of $$, citizenship, whether the coach believes in the skills, and talent surrounding the player.

BC's Jeff Tedford sought out Howard's Greg McGhee, Cato probably will look for a practice squad slot until he fails to land one then maybe 3 yrs later signs in the CFL.

I do think Jeff Tedford having success in the CFL would really boost a pipeline to the NFL from a Qb pov

Just an update, Cato landed in Montreal and looked great in his first start for the Als

LOL. Yeah we've been following along (understatement) in the Rakeem Cato thread.

Remember Jerome Messam? I didn't feel like the Dolphins gave him a proper chance in training camp when they invited him. He's still tearing it up in the CFL. First two games has 23 carries for 159 yards and 1 TD, with 9 catches for 109 yards.

He never received much of a chance in Miami, someone must not have liked his game.

As for Cato, he is playing it smart, the Als had Jonathon Crompton who did well, but Montreal is spoiled by the former presence of Anthony Calvillo the CFL's "all time greatest" Qb.

Probably would have been better for Cato if Mark Trestman was still running things in Montreal

I'm sure Trestman still has a connection with Jim Popp though. Popp is the guy up in Montreal. He's been in charge of the franchise since 1996 and has been head coach of the Als at various points along the way, including when Trestman was hired by Chicago (Popp himself interviewed for the GM position in Indianapolis that year).

As the new OC over in Baltimore, and given their history with Tyrod Taylor as the backup to Flacco, I think you could see Cato land over there.
