    He played with a lingering injury for the past several years. While he did have surgery for the issue, it probably isn't quite what he expects to continue to play at a high level.

    I just hope he gets condsideration for the HOF. One can argue he was the best ILB/MLB of his generation, and one of the better ones of all-time. Helluva player. Guess he is going out on his own terms rather than letting the game dictate his departure.
