Yep, Tannehill is seemingly the total team player, always saying the right thing.

Tannehill realizes he needs to become a better deep ball passer, he said as much over the past couple of seasons. This tells me Ryan is confident he will get better at finding an often wide open Wallace.

    Good to hear.

he realizes he needs to be better, that does not mean he will be able to do it. would be really nice if it were that easy.

no qb will want to admit he can't exploit the talent of his wide receivers...only one solution..suck it up, and work on your game, both of them..together.

Deep ball withstanding, Ryan doesn't want to lose a WR he had a 114 rating when throwing too for no REAL reason.

I think Wallace has an issue w his coaches not his QB. Watching the Jets game it's pretty easy to see why he was upset. Coming off of a great game vs Minnesota, playing a team with no good CBs, there wasn't even a token effort to get him the ball in the first half, despite him being open several times.

I can't support a guy who quits on his team. I don't care what his reasons are.

    I'm out on Wallace.

Understood. I'm just saying moving forward I'd rather keep Wallace and do more to keep him happy than let him go bc good WRs throwing tantrums is hardly a unique thing.

If he quit on anyone, he quit on Philbin and the coaching staff. I really can't fault him for that because I quit believing in Philbin after the 2013 season.

There was a lot of Wallace criticism when he was signed, he doesn't do this or that, doesn't fit the system etc. I feel now the way I felt then, if Wallace doesn't fit your offense then it's time for a new offense. Like others have said, Philbin has had issues many players, most of them good players who dared have an opinion on how things should be done. If Philbin can't handle that he needs to go back to being an assistant bc I'm sick of losing good talent.

Way to lead with leadership. I'm thinking this adds at least 3 more TDs to Tannehill's total next season.

have to agree with this. He certainly pouted and quit in that game, it's unprofessional and he should be held accountable, but I don't believe one screwup, even one as significant as this was, is a fireable offense. given the void it would leave plus it feels like Hickey might be pro-Wallace, it wouldn't suprise me if Wallace is on this team for another year.

Now if only we could get Mike Wallace to realize his downfalls and be a better route runner, right? :shifty:

Maybe the Dolphins weren't comfortable with the types of questions the producer said Rome was going to ask? Lots of different possibilities.

The interview was most likely scheduled a month or more ago before the recent moves and before it got out that Wallace was being shopped.

Rome's producer probably sent a reminder/last confirmation/updated questions and our PR people balked.

In any event, this appears to be an oversight by our PR folks.
