Rest in Peace - or rather, Live Long and Prosper.

I loved Leonard Nimoy as a person and loved Spock.

When I was in middle school, with no dad and a mom who worked and also had issues with alcohol, I'd come home from school nearly every day and watch Star Trek in syndication.

Spock was my hero at the time. Loved it.

Really, deeply saddened. But thankful we were exposed to such a beautiful character and life.

I very rarely give even an ounce of pity when a celebrity dies. this is one of the few that got to me. Guy has made more impact on nerddom than almost anyone else in Hollywood.

I read the headline last night that "Spock dies at 83"... talk about a slap in the face. His name is Leonard Nimoy. Of course my first reaction to reading that Spock died was "oh again?" :shifty:.... but I digress. I wonder what the other remaining living cast of Star Trek had to say. Especially Mr Sabatage himself, William Shatner.

I will miss him...Spock was and will always be my favorite scifi character..and to Paul, he wrote several books one in 1975 titled "I am not Spock" and another in 1995 titled "I am Spock" so I'm fairly certain he would be ok with that particular headline.

Iconic character. Known by generations, and generations to come. Seemed like a very down to Earth and intelligent guy who understood who he was and what his work meant to people, and knew how to keep making it work. He obviously didn't have to keep playing Spock into old age, but did it because it worked and was well done. I have a lot of respect for him, both as a person and an actor.

I can't believe Shatner didn't go to the funeral.
