Both a pipe dream and a poor use of resources. When it's all said and done, we'll need 2-3 receivers, 2-4 DB's, 1-2 RB's, 1-2 LB's, 1-3 DL's, 1-2 OL's, 1 punter, maybe 1 kicker, maybe a TE (Kelce please), and some special teams guys mixed in somewhere. We're going to need to retool. You can't replace Hartline, Gibson, possibly Wallace, Ellerbe, possible Wheeler, Finnegan, Delmas, resign Odrick and Pouncey, and then a couple more players and still sign Suh. We already have two highly and maybe overpaid players in Albert and Wallace.

Would be a huge get, as CK has noted in several conversations. Could transform the entire defense.

But, it is completely and unequivocally ... Pipe. Dream.

Suh is a great player but our path to contention revolves around Tannehill and the offense.

I somewhat agree but the run D has to be improved.

Possibility. I think it really depends on if Suh (and his agent) want to come to Miami. As far as the cap situation goes, I trust Aponte and Tannenbaum to be able to adjust accordingly if Suh is brought in. There's a good chunk of money to be shaken loose as you lop off the dead weight on the roster: Ellerbe, Finnegan, Garner, Gibson, Hartline, and Wheeler. You can also look at overpriced veterans like Brandon Fields, Randy Starks and even Mike Wallace. I don't think you're really going to regret losing ANY of the players mentioned.

Dominant offense, average D that specializes in rushing the passer and creating turnovers.

We need a couple playmakers, a hammer in the backfield, a WR or two who can turn short throws into long gains.

    sssssuuuuupppp brother??

I agree. I think we are multi years away though. Reality is Hickey will only be able to do so much. The thing that bothers me is do we start filling holes and Philbin and co. are out?? Then we might has well build from with in and that starts with two solid lines with depth-------offense and defense. Lines work for any coach.....right???

Tony Sparano, who players love to play for, couldn't control Vontae Davis. What was he, 22-23 when the drunk locker room/Brandon Marshall incident happened? He is only 26 now and he's been in the league six years.

The next season, he shows up overweight to camp and looks bad. Quite honestly, it was a very fair deal. New coaches getting rid of players is not an uncommon gesture.
