As much as I hate the Pats it was nice to see those classless Seahawks get a taste of their own lucky medicine
yes.... i never want to hear anyone complain about our oc until he throws away a superbowl like that. No way the pats stop the seahawks 3 straight times from getting a yard. Qb sneak/run from lynch, who doesn't get stopped for negative yards
ABSURD...And here I was thinking Bellicheat lost it by not calling TO....these coaches one up each other....
Belichick coached that right imo, but wow that was a horrible play call. They let so much time run off the clock, to throw a pass with a high chance of disaster. You have a top NFL running back and a timeout left plow it in.
No issue with the call. It wss a blatant pass interference and NE got away with about 7 other blatant calls down the stretch. This was a complete fix in that regard. NE was given everychance to win by the NFL.
Read-option should've been the call. They hadn't run it all game, the Patriots would've likely been unprepared for it, and that way you feature both Lynch and Wilson, who can both run.
Yeah, worst play call ever, at least if you weight it by importance of the situation. And that was the most depressing end to a game I've ever experienced. Marshawn Lynch on the 1 yard line.. 3 tries if necessary, and you pass! STUPID!
It was a stupid call.... interference is never going to be called there, esp not against the Patriots
YES. You're a yard out, with a timeout and a few downs, with the top Running Back in the NFL this year that you gave a monster contract to...and you decide not to give him the ball? They had the trophy on a silver platter, Lynch was running like a bulldozer at that point against the tired Pats D. And you call a pass... Not only that, but it gives Belicheat a trophy and he didn't even have to do anything. He got to stand there and watch the Seahawks blow it. Without a doubt, the worst call in NFL history.
That was the worst call I've ever seen. Seattle's run of luck ended in disastrous fashion which is kind of fitting and karma if I've ever seen it. I hate the Pats but they did deserve to win that game. I don't know what anyone here is talking about with Pass Interference, a defender has every right to fight for position to make a play on the ball, there is no controversy there at all. If the Pats had been called for pass interference that would have been highway robbery.
no but he shouldve thrown it at the knees. This way no chance for int. Its either a td or incomplete. Situational awareness. It was a horrible throw considering the circumstances, one if he was more experienced, might not have made
Especially after that miracle bouncing ball and foot to hand catch to get them in position, I mean it was like Seattle could do nothing right and still win football games with miracle last minute plays.
I can't fault Wilson really, I mean that was a terrible pass but he never should have been put in that spot.
awful call and a bad pass but like it was said he should never have been put in that situation but he should have went low with the throw. that call will be forever talked about and it cost a team at a chance at a dynasty.
Pete Carroll is stepping up and taking the blame. As for those trying to claim this was somehow a poor decision on the part of Russell Wilson, this is what he saw when he made the decision to throw it. It was the absolute correct decision, given the play call:
