Pilot was pretty good. I got smacked after drooling over her in that wig and dress at the nightclub. show has potential.
I'm now caught up, and while I have enjoyed it, its not what I expected. Spoiler I expected that most of the series would be like episode 5, with her kicking butt and being awesome and filling in some gaps of what happened in the Marvel Universe in that time period. Instead, its most been about how hard she had it and what a difficult world it was for her to live and thrive in. Thats fine I guess for a 22 episode season, but when its more than half of the show, it seemed like an odd choice to me. Much slower than I would her prefered.
I just finished up all the episodes (my kids have been keeping my wife and I up at night and we've been heading to bed early a lot). As I mentioned before, the show wasn't exactly what I expected, but still good. I found it interesting that USA Today mentioned the show in their list of ones that may or may not be renewed for next season. I'd expected that it was a one-off and that was it. Peggy Carter is also listed as a character in several of the upcoming Marvel movies this summer, so I'm curious to see what they do with her there as well. Now I need to get caught up on Sheild, since I haven't watched ANY of the new ones and figure that I should before seeing the Avengers 2 in three weeks.
I like both Agent Carter and Shield. I hear the Shield shows are working towards a Big Marvel movie in 2016 (The Inhumans).
That looks to be the case. I'm wondering how much from the show will go to the movie, both plotline and characters.
just met Haylee Attwell at Boston Comic-Con. What a friggin beautiful woman. classic beauty and seemed to have a really nice personality too. (met Stan Lee too - cross that off my bucket list)
Watched the first two episodes of the new season and thought that they were good. I'm glad that she seems to get to just be herself this season and not have to sneak around the majority of the time (which got old last season pretty fast for me). They seem to have taken what worked last year and focused on it, while minimizing things that didn't, which is smart. Spoiler I also loved that she was briefly in Ant Man (which I just watched) during the 1989 sequence. That's 42 years after the current season of the show, so it illustrates what a long and important career she had as part of Shield.
Aside from the Netflix shows, which are in a class by themselves, Agent Carter is rapidly becoming my favorite comic book show on TV. The CW shows all suffer from spending too much time brooding over young adult relation****s, it's nice that this one focuses on Peggy and what a B.A. she is.
I'm caught up on the season and really looking forward to tomorrow's season finale. With most shows that I enjoy, I generally want as much as I can get. But with Agent Carter, I think that the current setup is actually great. They tell one big story that arches through every episode, then wrap a bow on it and move on. Really solid.
I was really pissed off this week when my DVR showed AC - episodes 1-6, then skipped to 10. Guess I could have watched online, but just went ahead and watched the finale. Was able to still enjoy it though. good ending.
That sucks man, I'm sorry. I always get so upset when I record something and then I can't watch it because its messed up due to bad weather or whatnot. I liked the way that they ended the season also. Fingers crossed that they get another one (or more).
