They had 3 pro bowlers in their secondary, Von Miller and Demarcus Ware, and they allowed just 1 point per game less then we did...No thanks.
Sadly he likely ends up in the blackhole of of humanity in Oakland. Would absolutely love Del Rio as a DC here. Maybe then someone could teach our linebackers how to take correct angles and actually make tackles.
Isn't it funny though. When a coach fails some place, he is almost immediately vaunted and desired by another losing franchise and hailed as a savior. It's mind-boggling. That said. He's a great defensive mind and a linebackers guru, Del Rio.
I'll take 100% of the posters on here over Coyle at DC, it can't get much worse and at least picking up one of you guys we will be presenting some hope for the defense. Same thing goes for Philbin.
I'm saying that people spend too much time expressing their opinions and not enough time forming them.
It was formed for me the minute Geno Smith had the only perfect passer rating which was against Coyle's D....
Denvers defense is sooo overrated it is ridiculous lol they benefited a lot having Peyton controlling the time of possesion every game..
Bring back Wannstedt? In all seriousness, it's like when you hear "so and so just needs a change of scenery." I remember hearing that **** all the time when Joey Harrington took over for us. Especially after he beat Detroit on Thanksgiving. A change of scenery doesn't fix deficiencies in someone's ability. Sometimes coaches have bad luck (Belichick) and deserve a second chance. But those are few and far between.
Im honest coyle is not a bad coach,he is a brilliant db coach but as dc he has to few experience..I loved Mike Nolan he couldn't call the 4th qtr but our d was really welll..I would keep Coyle as db\assistant Hc.
I doubt Coyle accepts a demotion. As CK pointed out, w/a healthy Delmas, the defense played much better. W/out him, the defense gave up all kinds of points and yards. I'm not sure how we shore up the FS position next year though to get back to playing top 5-10 defense.
